Municipalities, Colleges and Schools Insurance Group - MCSIG Mission: It is the purpose of MCSIG to establish, operate and maintain a health benefits program for the mutual benefit.

Municipalities, Colleges and Schools Insurance Group – MCSIG is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA), created and operating under the Governance Code and the Education Code of the State of California. It was first established in 1982 with 20 Monterey County School Districts signatory to the original JPA agreement. The original name of the group was the Monterey County Schools Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Group.

Join Salinas Valley Health in their exercise challenge! Let's create a healthy community.

The annual community-wide Salinas Valley Health Exercise Challenge returns February 2 – March 1, 2026, and participation is FREE. The challenge encourages individuals to move for heart health by participating in-group hikes, fitness classes and physical activity events offered by Salinas Valley Health during the month of February. Those who participate will be entered into a raffle for fun, heart-healthy prizes.

Let’s move our bodies, boost heart health and prevent chronic disease, together!
