Motherhood is often surrounded by celebration, advice, and attention for the baby.
But many mothers are quietly carrying an enormous emotional, physical, and identity shift at the same time.

Support doesn’t have to be grand or perfect.
Sometimes it looks like asking real questions.
Sometimes it looks like doing the laundry, holding the baby, or sitting beside her without needing her to be okay.

When we support mothers, we help create space for rest, honesty, and reconnection with the person she still is underneath the exhaustion and change.

If a mom comes to mind while reading this, consider reaching out today.
Not just to check on the baby, but to check on her.

Let’s hold the moms who are holding the next generation. 🤍

💗 Valentine’s week reflections 💗

On Sunday, Bad Bunny shared a message that has stayed with us:
“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

At its best, love is not passive. It shows up as community care. It looks like honoring diversity. It sounds like speaking up when harm is happening. It means standing for our neighbors and against oppression.

This Valentine’s season, we are celebrating the love that builds safer communities. The love that makes room for difference. The love that insists everyone deserves dignity, belonging, and support.

In therapy and beyond, we believe healing happens in relationship, and liberation is collective.

With love for our community, always. 💞

Navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss can bring up a wide range of emotions, sometimes all at once. Grief is not linear, and there is no “right” way to feel or respond.

This space is for gentleness. For honoring the complexity of longing, sadness, hope, anger, numbness, and everything in between. For protecting your heart in ways that feel right for you.

Your feelings are not the problem. The loss is real. The longing is real. And you deserve care as you move through it.

If this resonates, know you’re not alone. 💛

We want to be explicit about our values.

Our clinic firmly opposes the actions of ICE and the systems that criminalize migration, separate families, and create fear in communities. We believe safety, dignity, and freedom are basic human rights, not privileges reserved for a few.

Mental health cannot be separated from social conditions. Chronic fear, displacement, and state violence cause real harm to the nervous system, to families, and to generations. Naming this is part of ethical care.

We stand for humanity.
We stand for freedom.
We stand for safety and belonging.

To our immigrant clients and communities. You deserve care without fear. You deserve to be seen as whole, worthy, and human.

Today, we pause to name what we know to be true. Too many parents navigate pregnancy and postpartum without the consistent, respectful, evidence-based care they deserve.

Holding ground means refusing to minimize harm or inequity. It means advocating for care that centers dignity, safety, and trust. It means continuing to name systemic gaps and stand firm, even when progress feels fragile.

At our clinic, holding ground looks like listening deeply, honoring lived experience, and supporting parents through the emotional and relational realities of the perinatal season.

We see you. We’re with you. And this work matters.

Today we pause to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the enduring impact of his work. His legacy continues to call us toward justice, dignity, and collective healing.

We’ve been hearing this a lot in sessions lately and honestly we are feeling it ourselves too. There is a real tension right now between wanting to stay informed about current events and noticing how quickly social media can spike anxiety, overwhelm our nervous systems, and pull us into endless scrolling. It is hard to live in this gray space.

Caring deeply while also protecting your own well-being takes awareness, intention, and self-compassion. It is okay to step back, and it is okay to feel overwhelmed. You are not alone. We are holding this space with you and walking alongside you as we all navigate it.

We want to be clear in our values. ICE raids and acts of violence create fear, grief, and lasting trauma for individuals, families, and entire communities. As a mental health clinic, we stand with immigrant communities and all those impacted. Safety, dignity, and access to care are fundamental to healing and are human rights.

As therapists, we see how easy it is to measure ourselves against what looks like progress online. As 2025 wraps up and 2026 begins, this is your reminder that highlight reels rarely tell the full story. Growth can be quiet. Healing can be slow. Small changes still matter.

If this year did not look impressive from the outside, it does not mean it lacked meaning.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Rise Wellness Collaborative 🤍

As the year winds down, we want to pause and thank our community for trusting us with your stories, your growth, and your healing. The holidays can bring joy, connection, grief, stress, or a mix of all of it, and all of those experiences are valid.

Wherever this season finds you, we hope there is room for rest, gentleness, and moments of care for yourself and those you love.

Wishing you peace, warmth, and continued healing in the days ahead.
