ππ Recently, I had two great sessions with the cupping add ons.
1. I have a client with chronic right anterior shoulder pain. They also recently went on vacation in Mexico and had some lingering back pain from travel. With silicon cups, I used both static and dynamic modalities to release tight fascia and muscles. Not only did they feel relief, but they said they were so relaxed and took a little nap during the session!
2. Another client came in with TMJ and neck issues. They clench their teeth and have been having headaches due to these issues. I used the smaller facial cups (don't worry they don't leave marks!) to release the muscles of the mandible and neck instead of the more invasive technique of going inside the mouth. Again, they felt immediate relief from their pain and tension.
Personally, I've found cupping to help relieve my lower back pain. Cupping decompresses the tissue as opposed to compressing the tissue as massage does. It makes room for the tissue to release for relief.
Add cupping to your massage to release deep muscle tension and help with relaxation.
