We’re excited to share some great news from our Memory Support Center at Brecon Village. Thanks to a generous grant from the Mary Thompson Foundation, we are launching music therapy for our residents twice each month.

Music therapy has powerful benefits for people living with dementia. It can spark memories, reduce anxiety, improve mood, and create meaningful moments of connection. Even when words are hard to find, music often reaches places nothing else can.

We’re thrilled to partner with Racheal from Gentle Care Music Therapy to bring this program to life. Her compassionate approach aligns beautifully with our mission at EHM Senior Solutions to support the older adults we serve. 💙

We are so excited to announce that the Foundation has received the Mary Thompson Foundation Grant! These funds have allowed us to purchase a jukebox for Brecon Village, and the remaining support will provide two music therapy sessions each month for residents in our Memory Support Center.

Music is incredibly important for individuals living with dementia. Research shows that familiar songs can stimulate memory, reduce anxiety, improve mood, and spark meaningful connections, even when other forms of communication become difficult. Music can offer comfort, joy, and moments of clarity, making it a powerful tool in supporting cognitive and emotional well-being.
