National Volunteer Week is celebrated annually during the third week of April, recognizing the contributions of volunteers and encouraging community service.

This celebration is dedicated to honoring the selfless contributions of volunteers who enrich their communities through their service and lift the organization beyond words. We want to recognize and thank the individuals who have donated their time, talent, voice, and so much more to Coastal Hospice. Volunteers continuously bring comfort to the Lower Eastern Shore here at Coastal Hospice. You are the reason we are able to provide care. ❤️ We could not continue this mission without you, thank you.

Our dedicated Supportive Services and Provider & Community Relations team was honored to visit Gull Creek in Berlin, Maryland, along with one of our designated RNs who cares for patients, to attend a memorial gathering celebrating fourteen beautiful lives that recently passed at Gull Creek. 🤲🤍

We pause to remember each of these individuals. May their families and caregivers find comfort in knowing they were deeply valued, remembered, and never forgotten.

Help Us Honor our Veterans! 🧶🪡🇺🇸
At Coastal Hospice, every Veteran in our care is recognized for their service and sacrifice. Through the national We Honor Veterans program, each Veteran receives a special visit, a personalized certificate, and a patriotic blanket lovingly handmade or purchased and donated by our community.

Curretnly,e are in need of handmade red, white, and blue blankets and quilts to help us continue this tradition. Your time, talent, or donation helps us say thank you in a truly personal way.
How You Can Help:
• Handmade blankets or quilts (minimum 40” x 48”, washable materials)
• Knitted or crocheted 8” squares (Our Coastal Hospice Knitting and Crochet volunteers will piece them together)
• Purchased patriotic fleece blankets

Every stitch, square, and blanket becomes a symbol of appreciation and comfort for a Veteran and their family. Thank you for helping us honor those who have given so much. ❤️🤍💙
