Here it is Thanksgiving Eve... Still at work, space to now have the office half Thanksgiving/fall and halfway into Christmas. Growing up this was always my favorite time of year. As an adult it has shifted through illnesses, injuries and death, and also the addition of puppies and babies and the appreciation of change, celebrations and rest.

For many people I work with there is the shared sense of life and the world sometimes being too complicated to bear. Just a gentle reminder that this too shall pass, one breath at a time both in challenging moments and auspicious occasions. Keep your eyes open for the magic, heart and mind curious and when all else fails follow Mr Roger's advice and Look for the Helpers.

In my life personally as well as helping people recover from trauma, sleep is such an important part of healing... From our ability to heal bones and tissues to the very neural circuits of our mind, sleep is an essential component and often an early and persistent indicator of wounding. Heather Darwall-Smith in her first book The Science of Sleep created an easy to navigate text that is both visually appealing and full of helpful information. I am excited to finally receive her next book to learn more :)
