Still using the elevator when your lungs are begging for the stairs?

If you’ve been feeling winded, coughing more, or relying on your inhaler more often, it might be time for a closer look.

🩺 Spirometry gives us real answers.
This simple in-office breathing test measures how well your lungs are working. It helps us confirm asthma or COPD, track changes, and adjust treatment based on data—not guesswork.

💡 The right diagnosis means the right treatment.
If you’ve ever been told “it’s probably allergies” or “just a cold,” but symptoms keep coming back, spirometry can help clarify what’s really going on.

🏥 Follow-ups don’t have to be complicated.
Quick nurse visits are perfect for inhaler technique checks, medication reviews, blood pressure rechecks, or symptom updates between provider appointments.

📊 Managing more than one condition?
If you’re tracking blood pressure at home, ask about Remote Patient Monitoring. Your readings come directly to us so we can respond early if something changes.

❤️ Breathing well. Moving well. Living well. That’s the goal.

If you’ve noticed breathing changes or just want a proactive check-in, call us today and ask about spirometry, nurse visits, or Remote Patient Monitoring.

I’m honored to have been named Preceptor of the Year for Cohort 2025 by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.

Teaching the next generation of healthcare providers is both a responsibility and a privilege. It’s incredibly rewarding to work with students as they develop the skills, judgment, and compassion needed to care for patients and serve their communities.

Thank you to the students and faculty who made this recognition possible. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of your journey in medicine.

Your blood pressure might be quiet…
But that doesn’t mean it’s behaving.

🩺 High blood pressure often has no symptoms.
You can feel completely fine and still be at risk for heart disease or stroke. That’s why regular monitoring matters.

📊 Remote Patient Monitoring makes it simple.
Check your blood pressure at home. Your readings securely come to our team. If numbers start to creep up, we can step in early—sometimes before you even notice a change.

🏥 Quick nurse visits keep you on track.
Need a BP recheck? Medication adjustment? Lifestyle coaching? Our nurse visits are a fast, affordable way to stay consistent without waiting weeks for a full appointment.

💡 Managing chronic conditions doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
Small check-ins. Clear data. Real-time support. That’s how we help you avoid bigger problems later.

❤️ Prevention is powerful. And it starts with knowing your numbers.

If you have high blood pressure—or haven’t checked it in a while—call us today and ask about Remote Patient Monitoring or scheduling a quick nurse visit.

Feeling that time change?

Losing an hour of sleep can leave you dragging.

🩺 What you eat plays a big role in your daily energy levels.

💡 Skipping meals, loading up on sugar, or relying on caffeine alone can lead to that mid-afternoon crash. Balanced meals with protein, fiber, and healthy fats help keep energy steady throughout the day.

🧠 Nutrition also supports focus and mood, especially when your routine gets thrown off.

🏥 Staci Walden, RD helps patients create simple, balanced meal plans that support consistent energy without extreme dieting.

If you’re tired of feeling tired, it may be time to look at what’s on your plate.

Message us in MyChart or call to schedule with Staci. Outside our practice? Ask your provider to send a referral so we can help you get started.

Let’s spring forward with better energy this year.

Your lungs are working hard for you every single day.
But when was the last time you checked in on them?

🩺 Breathe easier with spirometry.
If you have asthma, COPD, chronic cough, or shortness of breath, a simple in-office breathing test can give us real answers. Spirometry helps us measure lung function, adjust medications, and catch problems early.

It’s quick, painless, and can guide better treatment decisions so you’re not guessing about your breathing.

🏥 Let our nurses help you stay on track.
Need a blood pressure check? Medication review? Quick follow-up between provider visits? Nurse visits are a convenient way to stay connected and proactive about your health.

📊 Take control with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).
If you’re managing high blood pressure, we can help you track readings from home. Your numbers come straight to our team, so we can adjust care faster and keep you safer—without extra office trips.

❤️ The goal? Fewer surprises. Better control. Healthier days.

If you have breathing concerns, high blood pressure, or just want to be proactive, call us and ask about spirometry, nurse visits, or Remote Patient Monitoring today.

Happy National Nap Day! 😴

A well-timed nap can boost alertness, improve mood, and sharpen your focus. But not all naps are created equal.

💡 Meet the Nap Wheel
The Nap Wheel helps you choose the right type of nap depending on what your body needs—whether it’s a quick alertness boost, deeper recovery sleep, or even a creativity boost.

🩺 How it works
The wheel uses the time you woke up to help guide the best nap timing and length during the day. Short naps can refresh your brain, while longer naps may help with deeper physical recovery.

🧠 A quick tip
If you’re just looking for an energy boost, try a 20-minute nap. It can improve alertness without leaving you feeling groggy afterward.

❤️ Sleep is one of the most powerful tools for protecting your health. Sometimes the best medicine is simply giving your brain the rest it needs.

If daytime fatigue is affecting your daily life, your primary care provider can help evaluate your sleep habits and overall health.

Your body has its own internal clock… and it might explain why mornings feel easy for some people and impossible for others.

🧠 Meet your circadian rhythm.

Your circadian rhythm is your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle. Some people are early birds, some are night owls, and many fall somewhere in between.

💡 Take a chronotype self-assessment
The AutoMEQ circadian rhythm questionnaire helps you discover your natural sleep pattern, also called your chronotype. Knowing your chronotype can help you align your sleep schedule, energy levels, and daily routines.

📅 One thing to know
At the end of the questionnaire, there is a small fee (about $6) to receive your detailed results and personalized tips.

🩺 Why it matters
Understanding your internal clock can help you:

• Improve sleep quality
• Plan tasks when your energy is highest
• Boost productivity and focus
• Support better mood and overall well-being

❤️ When we work with our body’s natural rhythm instead of against it, healthy habits become much easier to maintain.

If sleep problems, fatigue, or inconsistent sleep schedules are affecting your health, your primary care provider can help you find strategies that work for you.

You don’t need to start with 30 minutes.

You can start with 2. ⏱️

We recommend 150 minutes of cardio each week outside of your normal work and daily routine. That’s about 30 minutes, 5 days a week.

But here’s the key: start where you are.

💡 It’s not about willpower. It’s about building a habit.
If exercise feels overwhelming, your brain resists it.
If it feels small and doable, your brain accepts it.

🩺 Start tiny
Tell yourself: “I will do 2 minutes.”

Two minutes of walking in place.
Two minutes of marching.
Two minutes of seated cardio from YouTube.

Search for:
“2 minute cardio workout”
“5 minute low impact cardio”
“Seated cardio for beginners”

It is very hard to talk yourself out of 2 minutes.

🧠 Build the identity
Instead of saying, “I need to get in shape,” try:
“I am the type of person who moves every day.”

Prove it with small wins. Once 2 minutes feels automatic, graduate up.
5 minutes.
10 minutes.
15 minutes.

Consistency first. Duration second.

❤️ Pair it with something you already do
After brushing your teeth.
After your morning coffee.
After dinner.

Linking movement to an existing routine makes it stick.

🏥 Need extra guidance?
If you’re feeling physically deconditioned, recovering from illness, or unsure where to begin, ask your provider for a referral to physical therapy.

Our partners at NovaCare in Cambridge and Salisbury have been helping our patients safely rebuild strength, stamina, and confidence for months now. Structured support can make all the difference.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

📞 Call the office to schedule an appointment and ask about a physical therapy referral if you’re ready to move forward safely and confidently.
