Open studio spaces are powerful for one simple reason:

There’s no performance required.

Caregivers spend so much time:

holding it together
managing crises
being the responsible one

The Studio is one of the few spaces where you don’t have to do any of that.

You can just show up.

Create.

Breathe.

And remember you’re still a whole person.

Caregivers often hear this message:

Creative time is a luxury.

But neuroscience tells us something different.

Creative expression can help regulate the nervous system and process stress — especially when emotions are hard to put into words.

That’s one of the reasons art therapy can be so helpful for caregivers.

It creates a nonverbal way to release what you're holding.

If you’re curious how that works in practice, I’m hosting a casual art-making + FAQ hour next week where caregivers can experience a little of that process.

No pressure.

No art skills needed.

Just a simple creative exercise and space to ask questions about the Creative Caregiver Studio.

Another myth caregivers hear a lot:

"Creative time is a luxury."

But neuroscience tells us something different.

Creative expression can actually help regulate the nervous system.

Which means art making can support:

• stress relief
• emotional processing
• mental clarity

So creativity isn't frivolous.

For caregivers, it can be a powerful resilience tool.

A lot of caregiver support spaces focus on talking.

Support groups.
Educational workshops.
Discussion circles.

And those can be incredibly helpful.

But sometimes caregivers are simply too emotionally tired to talk about it all again.

Creative spaces offer another option.

You can sit quietly.

Move some color around a page.

Tear paper.

Make shapes.

Let your hands do the talking.

If you’d like to try that kind of space, I’m hosting a Creative Caregiver Studio Art + FAQ Hour next week.

We’ll do a very simple art activity together while I answer questions about the Studio.

No art experience needed.

I created the Creative Caregiver Affirmation Deck because caregivers hear a lot of messages like:

Be strong.
Stay positive.
You’re amazing.

But very few messages that say:

• It's okay to feel overwhelmed.
• You deserve support too.
• You’re still a whole person outside caregiving.

The affirmation deck is meant to feel like a small moment of support in your pocket.

Early members of Creative Caregiver Studio receive the full printable deck.

But I’m sharing 9 preview cards this week so caregivers can start using them right away.

Because sometimes the reminder we need most is:

You matter too.

One of the questions I get most about Creative Caregiver Studio is:

"What actually happens during a session?"

It’s not an art class.

No one is teaching technique.
No one is grading your creativity.

Instead, sessions look more like this:

• a short grounding exercise
• a creative prompt or intention
• quiet time to make whatever you need to make
• optional sharing if you want it

Some people paint.

Some people collage.

Some people sit quietly and draw circles for a while.

And all of it is welcome.

Because the goal isn’t to make good art.

It’s to make space for yourself again.

BONUS: When you join the Studio during this two-week launch you will receive the Intention Setting Workbook and guided exercise I create just for you. This is a great tool you can use anytime you could use some guidance to reconnect back to yourself. 🩵

One of the most common things caregivers say to me is:

“I’m not creative.”

Most people think creativity means:

painting beautifully
drawing realistically
being “artsy”

But creativity actually has nothing to do with talent.

In my studio spaces people:

scribble
tear paper
layer colors
draw shapes
or just sit and slowly fill a page

The goal isn’t to make good art.

It’s to give your nervous system somewhere to put what you're carrying.

If you're curious what that feels like, I'm hosting a very casual art-making + FAQ hour next week.

We’ll make some simple art together while I answer questions about Creative Caregiver Studio.

No art experience required.

• what intentions are and why they work
• how to create one that actually supports you
• how intention-setting fits into creative studio practice

If you’ve been needing a moment to breathe, this is it.

You can grab a spot before we start.

Caregivers often spend their days responding to everyone else’s needs.

Appointments.
Medications.
Emotions.
Family logistics.

But what would it look like to start with your own intention first?

Tomorrow I’m hosting a live session called:

🎨 Creative Intention Setting for Caregivers

We’ll explore how simple intention practices can help you:

• stay grounded during stressful caregiving moments
• reconnect with yourself
• bring creativity into your coping toolkit

Today I’m officially opening Creative Caregiver Studio.

This space was created for caregivers who feel like caregiving has taken over their entire identity.

Inside the studio you’ll find:

🎨 live guided open studio sessions
🎨 a supportive caregiver community
🎨 creative prompts and gentle practices
🎨 space to exist as a person — not just a caregiver

You don’t need to be an artist.

You don’t need fancy supplies.

You just need a little space for yourself.
