This Week's Win: Can we talk about anger?

Monday's theme was anger. Client after client was irritable with those around them, angry at those who dismissed their needs, exhausted with trying to change something that wouldn't budge, or in the mindset that the best defense is a good offense.

Most of us look at anger as this problem we must control; stuff it down, shut it up, smile until it goes away. This mindset dismisses anger's purpose. Anger is a protective response. Anger says that at some point in your life, this circumstance threatened your safety. So, your body is summoning the power of anger to save your life.

Except, this isn't a life threat anymore. So what do we do?

First question: Do you need this anger to keep you safe right now?

Sometimes, we need the strength to push through. This is maybe 5% of my clients and once the threat has passed, we move to question 2.

Are you ready to let go of the anger and discover the more vulnerable emotions hiding behind anger's strength? Is it protecting fear? Pain? Shame?

Where is your anger? And what is it protecting you from? Is it time to set it down?

We had a very brave 8 year old come in this week. Natalie got to learn about peacocks and wolves. Our brave friend got to learn about our immune system, gut health, and has already gotten a decrease in her stomach pain.

This Week's Win: I HATE TICKS!

I love it when I get to learn from my clients! One of my long standing clients came in with a story; he'd found a tick under his arm. Just for giggles, he sprayed it with Evil Bone Water before he went to get the tweezers. It came right off! The tick had started withdrawing just because of the Evil Bone Water.

Also, Natalie is off to her Alpha Gal training today! I hate ticks, and I LOVE learning!
