“My husband was a soldier in Vietnam and made a career in law enforcement—which I felt was intimidating to most home health services. Garry and Carol’s journey shows the heart of LSC communities. For nearly 10 years, Trinity Oaks has been Garry’s home. When Carol bravely faced Alzheimer’s, Trinity Oaks was their lifeline—providing care through:

• Trinity Living Center for care and engagement during the day.
• Trinity at Home for in-home support.
• Skilled Nursing at Trinity Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation for compassionate, quality medical care

Each step was delivered with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring Carol’s dignity and comfort.

Today, Garry continues to thrive—healthy, independent, and recently back from a trip to England and Scotland! His story reminds us why our work matters: to ensure seniors across North Carolina have the care and community they deserve.

This year, Lutheran Services Carolinas is celebrating 65 Years of Belonging! Tim Cornelison's LSC story forms a full circle.

As a boy, he volunteered at the Lutheran Home of Salisbury (now Trinity Oaks health & rehab). That inspired him to become a nursing home activity director. Cornelison later became a nursing home administrator -- and for the past 3 years, he has been administrator of Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab right back where he started.

Today, Cornelison trains future senior care leaders as a preceptor for administrators-in-training and teaches activity director certification classes with Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.

🎃👻 What a Spooktacular Halloween! 👻🎃

We had an amazing time last night at our Annual Trick-or-Treat Trail! Thank you to all who came out and made it such a fun night. 🕸️🍬

We wrapped up the celebrations today with our Halloween Bash — full of laughter, costumes, and even some performances from our “celebrity” musicians in the house! 🎤🧛‍♀️🎶

We’re so grateful for our incredible community. You all made this Halloween one to remember! 🧡🖤
