This weekend I helped someone find their biological father using DNA and genealogy. I have done this before but normally do not charge. However, I am at point now where I need to start.
If you or someone you know is interested. Here are the requirements:
1) Client must have taken a DNA test with either Ancestry.com, 23andme, My Heritage, or FTDNA.com. (preferably Ancestry.com)
2) I will most definitely need some kind of access to your DNA account - you will need to delete any payment/credit card information you have in your account for both of our safety. I will maintain communication with you while I have access so that when I am finished you can change your password or whatever needs to be done to re-secure your account when finished.
3) We will discuss a payment structure that works best for you, but base rate/rule of thumb will be $25.00/hr. We can do a piece at a time based on what you can pay. I will be very flexible, and payment will made through Paypal or Zelle.

Feel free to message me here on my page for more information.
Thanks!
Keith

WHEW! It's been a long time since I posted here..but I've been GENEALOGICALLY very busy.! Just recently completed 3 MAJOR client projects which spanned areas across the United States such as Maryland's Eastern Shore, Pittsburg, PA, West Virginia, Detroit, MI, Stark Co, Ohio and Massachusetts. Then, these lines took me international to Quebec, France, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and UKRAINE! I was amazed to find that my client's POLISH ancestry was actually from UKRAINE. There was a lot to uncover in terms of the historical relationship between Ukraine and Poland.
The lesson learned here - don't be surprised if your "Polish" heritage is actually Ukrainian . Please enjoy the folk song for Polish Ukrainians (known as "Sokoli" or Falcons)
PS. I am now available for additional work, let me know!!

Hello Everyone,
I normally wouldn't do this on this site, but feel some of you may find this important. I volunteer for a non-profit and they are rasing funds for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe reservation schools. If you have Native American/Indigenous Ancestry this is a great way to honor your ancestors by helping just a bit. Please read the description so you can see what they (we) are trying to do, it's a really great program!

I just completed a large translation project for a client - Family letters from the 1940s, it's so amazing what you can learn about historical events from the perspective of individuals who actually live through it.

If any of you have done DNA testing whether through ancestry.com or 23andme, I highly recommend https://mytrueancestry.com/ !! You can upload your raw data file and My True Ancestry (MTA) will compare it to HUNDREDS of archaelogical specimens found throughout the world. It is incredible to know you are related to Cheddar Man or samples taken from Viking villages or Ancient Temples.

I recently inherited a stash of old family pictures from a recently deceased "Aunt" (1st cousin 1x removed). Many of the pictures are not labled as to who they are. Through networking on facebook and talking to people, I'm gettin them identified little-by-little. Many of these pictures are from anwhere between 1870-1940. Here is one of my 3rd Great Grandparents. This one was labled on the back, and I was elated that it was even in existence. This photo is in suprisingly excellent condition, and dates from between 1870-1880

From the Raglands of Georgia, to British Royalty.

Since becoming engaged to Prince Harry last year, Meghan Markle has been plagued by public family drama. All of that drama, though, has come from her father Thomas Markle’s side of the clan. What about her mother, Doria Ragland? Doria’s side of the family agreed to share their family history wit...

I haven't posted in SUCH a long time, but thought I'd give you all an update. I am currently helping a friend of mine trace her family tree. While she is African-American, as we research her DNA and tree, there are some fascinating discoveries.
1) Her DNA relative report from Ancestry.com showed an overwhelming amount of Puerto Rican relatives, and a DNA region mapped to Puerto Rico. This was a SURPRISE! She has later learned that her maternal Grandfather's origin is a mystery. He had 3 identities/3 names (Driver's Licenses), one of which was under the name "Martinez". (ahem!). He "appeared" African American but may actually be Afro-Puerto-Rican. Looks can be deceiving when it comes to any racial classification.
2) She was able to get information from her mother regarding her father whom she's never known. He is actually a Lumbee Indian. Lumbees are very racially mixed. Her DNA shows relation to common Lumbee surnames as well.
Of course, as is expected with African-Americans, she has West African and Anglo-European DNA as well. Basically she is a rainbow of heritage! While we are by no means finished with connecting all the dots, this has been an incredible journey for her and me both!.

If you need any DNA consulting, family tree work or other genealogy tasks, please don't hesitate to message me here on facebook. I would be happy to work with you.!
