IT'S HAPPENING!!!

Our infant support group is coming to you- virtually and in-person groups available for FREE to meet your needs! At this time we will do one virtual and one in-person meeting monthly.

Dr. Iman from is so supportive and has been so kind to donate meeting space ❤

Our in-person groups will be limited to start for 8 people due to space restrictions. Registration for groups is required, we want to be able to hold space for just you!

Our first meet ups are:
November 7th at 5:30 pm- Virtual
November 22nd at 11:30 am- In-person in Salisbury, MD.

Packing my doula bag before bed.

I like to keep it simple…

-A Change of clothing.
-Snacks.
-Electrolytes.
-My Favorite doula tools.
-Linen wrap.
-Phone cord.
-Small warm blanket.
- A few toiletries to freshen up if the labor is long.
- Enclosed crocs and extra socks.
( comfortable to wear and easy to wash if amniotic fluid gets on your feet. 😁)

I took a leap of faith and purchased THRIVE 5 years ago today!

It has been a beautiful and wild journey, to say the least…
And I look forward to what the next years may bring!

I’ve learned SO MUCH from every birth I have attended.
I’ve accomplished many personal goals; and have also made many mistakes along the way; I’ve witnessed countless little miracles; and I’ve met SO many wonderful families.

No regrets on that leap of faith 😉.

I was on vacation and all the September babies were born!
Congratulations to the mother’s and Families and a special thank you to THRIVE’s incredible doulas Elisha and Emily, who continued to serve while I was away and offer back up for each other. 💜💜💜💜

Those 2am births feel like another realm…
while the rest of the world sleeps; the energy is different; the lighting is different; the birthing hormones are intoxicating and the warmth and joy are overwhelming…

Then dawn arrives— baby is born and I hop back into my car and drive home just in time to start my day with family; carrying out my daily routine and chores as usual, like nothing happened.

Flashbacks of that beautiful and wild scene happen all through the day…
I quite often think; “ Was that real? Did I have a dream? Did I really take part in in such an
Incredible thing today?”

It’s like a special little secret that you hold on to and smile about and think about for days…

What a miracle.

In those moments I am reminded of how romantic my job actually is… witnessing REAL love and support, new miraculous little humans, watching women become mothers and seeing the beautiful bonding that takes place for the families.

This birth was no different! Kim is a returning client, I supported her through her 1st birth birth and I was honored to then support her son through his brother’s birth. 💜

Such a beautiful couple and family.
