Cold weather makes your HVAC system work harder—and use more energy. Here's why:

▶️ A bigger gap between outdoor and indoor temperatures
▶️ Increased heat loss through walls, windows, and doors
▶️ Longer run times during colder months
▶️ Reduced efficiency for some systems, like heat pumps
▶️ Higher thermostat settings in winter

To improve efficiency, make sure your home is well‑insulated, seal drafts, and use a programmable thermostat to lower temperatures when you’re away or asleep.

His inventions, which also included hair-care products and sewing machine attachments, were driven by a desire to solve daily, practical problems.
