Geoscope Environmental Laboratory implements quality requirements that are enforced by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to improve the nation’s health and environment. Through constant monitoring, and with a focus on continual improvement, GEL ensures that clients are satisfied with the services that they receive. To achieve and maintain high standards, analytical precision and accuracy is assessed through the analysis of reference standards and laboratory generated quality control samples such as analytical duplicates, matrix and surrogate spikes, and matrix spike duplicate sample. In GEL laboratory precision and accuracy are monitored on a daily basis.
