Yesterday was a bright, warm spring day.
Today it’s rainy, cool, and gray again.

The weather can be so fickle — warm and sunny one day, gloomy the next. And our nervous systems can feel the same way. One moment we feel light and energized… and the next we might feel tense, overwhelmed, or a little off.

Just like the weather, those shifts are part of being human. The good news is we have ways to help our bodies settle again.

Massage therapy is one way to help regulate the nervous system — slowing things down, easing tension, and giving the body space to return to balance.

You can also try a simple grounding technique, especially on rainy March days like this one:

Find the colors of the rainbow.
Pause wherever you are and look around you.
Can you spot something red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple?

This simple exercise gently brings your mind back to the present moment and helps calm the nervous system. Sometimes all we need is a moment to pause… breathe… and remember the colors are still there, even on the gray days. 🌈

Don’t forget to set your clocks forward tonight.
And while you’re at it, check your calendar…
When is your next massage?

Friday the 13th slips quietly in right behind the time change.

Maybe that’s your lucky sign — because it’s the only day with availability left this week.

Friday appointments:
• 9:00am – 60 minutes
• 2:00pm – up to a 2-hour session

The rest of the week is already full.

The only thing scary about springing forward…
is doing it without your next massage scheduled.

It’s been one of those days where you can feel the seasons starting to shift. The sun is warmer, the air feels lighter, and people just seem a little happier being outside. 😊

This weekend we also turn the clocks forward — a small change that reminds us that longer days and spring are just around the corner. 🕐

Take a moment to step outside, stretch a little, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy it. 😎

Sometimes the best kind of reset doesn’t take an appointment… just a little sunshine. ☀️

03/02/2026

Today: sunshine and fresh air. ☀️
Tomorrow: cold and rain again. 🌧️

North Carolina weather keeps us guessing!

Did you get outside and enjoy the nice day today?

Sometimes those beautiful days remind us how good it feels to move our bodies… and how much we feel it later.

Because of a couple schedule changes, two openings just became available for Wednesday:

• 1pm – 90-minute session
• 3:30pm – 60-minute session

If the shift in weather has your body tightening back up, I’ve got the table ready.

Schedule online or message me to claim one.

Hello, March. 🌱

It’s hard to believe, but with the start of this month Baseline Massage is stepping into our 11th month of operation. That means next month we celebrate our first birthday, and honestly that still feels a little surreal. I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted me with their care and helped this little business grow over the past year.

The first week of March is already fully booked (thank you!), but schedules do shift from time to time. Feel free to send me a message to be added to the cancellation list.

I’m also starting to hear the same thing from so many clients lately — everyone is ready for winter to be over. March always feels like that turning point where we start thinking about spring, warmer days, and getting moving again.

If your body is still carrying the tension of winter, now is a great time to get ahead of it and get yourself ready for the season ahead.

Go ahead and get your next massage on the calendar. Your spring self will thank you.

My massage table is full today…
but I’ve still got a seat saved for you.

Rainy days are good for one thing: rest.

Our heated automated massage chairs are available for walk-in sessions, so you can stop in, warm up, and let the tension melt away while the rain falls outside.

No appointment needed. 10/20/30 mimute sessions, $1/minute. Just come in, sit back, and relax. Open availability today until 5pm.

Has anyone else felt like February has been the longest month ever?

Between the cold, gray days and the winter blah, I’m hearing the same thing from so many clients lately — everyone is just ready for spring. Honestly… same.

The good news is we’re almost there. A new month starts Sunday, and the following week the time changes. Longer days and warmer weather are on the horizon.

If you’re ready to shake off the winter blues and head into March feeling a little more like yourself, I do have two openings left this Friday:

• 9:00 AM — 60-minute session
• 12:30 PM — up to a 2-hour session (or two 60-minute sessions)

Sometimes the best reset is simply giving yourself a little time to regroup and be taken care of.

You can schedule anytime at baselinemassage.com or send me a message. Let’s send February out on a better note.

One of the unique things about being a massage therapist is the amount of time we actually spend with our clients. In many cases, I spend more uninterrupted one-on-one time with someone than they do with most of the other professionals on their healthcare team. That time matters.

It allows me to truly understand them—not just through conversation, but through what their body communicates. Because our bodies often tell stories our words never do.

The longer and more consistently we work together, the more relaxed the body becomes… and the more fluent I become in its language. That’s one of the key benefits of longer and regular sessions.

Because like any relationship, communication matters. Massage therapy is simply another way the body can speak—and when we take the time to listen, it has a lot to say.

Three weeks into February… and this is your gentle reminder to check your calendar!

Not for meetings. Not for errands. For you.
Have you taken a moment for your own care yet?
Even something small. Even something brief.
Because caring for yourself isn’t extra — it’s essential.

As we move through this third week, I have three openings left at Baseline:
1️⃣ Tuesday at 2:00 PM — 60-minute session
2️⃣ Wednesday at 1:00 PM — 90-minute session
3️⃣ Thursday at 12:30 PM — 2-hour session

Three chances to pause.
Three chances to reset.
Three reminders that you deserve care, too.

If one of these moments feels meant for you, you can schedule online anytime at baselinemassage.com or message me directly. Let’s make self-care part of your February story.
