The Drama of Denied Claims
Every denied claim is a tiny drama. Some are short: a missing signature, a small typo. Others are epic sagas: multiple denials, conflicting instructions, and hours of detective work that leave you questioning your sanity.
Sometimes it’s like a horror movie: you open a claim and discover something has gone horribly wrong, and you spend the next hour wondering if it’s even survivable.
Other times it feels like a daytime soap opera: twists, unexpected plot holes, and mysterious characters on the phone giving contradictory advice. “I can’t approve this… but I just approved something almost identical yesterday.” Cue dramatic music.
And then there are the Broadway moments: the triumph when everything finally lines up perfectly. You submit the corrected claim, hit “send,” and watch the approval come through like a curtain call after a long, exhausting performance. Standing ovation in my office chair.
Providers get paid. Patients get care. And I get to be the unsung hero, starring in my own billing drama—complete with suspense, mystery, and the occasional comedic twist.
