"Nate Cripps of the Disability Law Center said the organization does not condone the alleged actions of Tufuga.

'That is not the way to respond. I don’t think anyone should take that level of action on their own,' said Nate Cripps of DLC.

Cripps said that if bullying occurs, parents should report it to the appropriate authorities rather than handling it themselves. He added that schools have an obligation to respond if they are made aware of bullying, especially when it involves a student with a disability.

'If a school is aware of bullying on the basis of disability, they have an obligation to do something about it,' he said."
