I had always feared the desert on some level. The silence was terrifying. It was a place to face one’s demons, and who wants to do that willingly? But I’ve since discovered not demons but daemons. It’s a place where God comes to me. The desert is where God came to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. The desert is silence. Silence the mind. Quite the doing. And let God whisper.
