Posture has gotten a bad reputation over the years… but here’s the truth: there’s no such thing as perfect posture. You don’t need to sit like a robot all day to avoid pain. In fact, that can sometimes make things worse. What actually matters? Your ability to move. To shift positions, to bend, to slouch, and to stay active.

It’s not about holding one “perfect” position. It’s about building a body that can handle whatever you throw at it!

Does pain mean you need to stop doing an exercise from your physical therapist? 💥 Maybe, maybe not. It depends on the level of pain and also what's really causing it. The good news is: when you come in to Wasatch Front PT, we're going to walk through all of your exercises together before you ever do them yourself at home. Plus, you will always have my contact info, so if anything is irritating you in between sessions we can chat and make an adjustment, or get you in sooner if needed. The benefits of a concierge PT!

Do you need to get imaging done (like an MRI or X-Ray) when you come to PT? Often times, no. That's not to say it's never a good idea, but here's what often happens when imaging is done and it's not needed.

How long will you need to be in PT for? Well, it definitely depends on the injury or reason you're coming in, and I can usually give you a pretty good estimate when we first meet. That said, it's really up to you. How are you feeling? How are you progressing? Can you go back to doing the things you want to do? Those are the types of questions we'll ask to see if you feel ready to stop coming in.

Your body doesn’t separate physical stress from life stress 🧠 And when stress levels are high at work or in life, your body can become more sensitive to pain. Things that normally wouldn’t bother you suddenly start to. And those things that have been manageable up to that point... well, maybe aren't so manageable anymore. Understanding that connection is important!

If you feel like this is something you can relate to, come see me and let's see what we can do to help you feel better ASAP 👋🏻 WasatchFrontPT.com
