SB204 has passed the Utah Legislature and is awaiting the Governor’s signature! 🥳

🔴Beginning January 2027:
Patients will no longer pay higher copays to see a physical therapist than they would to see a physician for musculoskeletal care.

This change ensures physical therapy is a more affordable first stop for pain, injuries, and movement problems.

Thank you to our patients who contacted their elected officials in support of this bill — your voices helped make this happen!

BIG welcome to our newest Hand Therapy Mentee, Korbin Carr!

Korbin's interest in occupational therapy started back in high school after shadowing therapists and seeing the powerful impact OT can have in helping people regain independence. That spark grew into a passion for upper extremity rehab and the detailed, hands-on work of hand therapy, and now he’s working toward becoming a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)!

You can find him in our Draper clinic, working alongside Seth! We’re so excited to have him on the team!

Help us welcome Erinlee Boden, PT, DPT, OCS to Hand & Ortho!

She brings a ton of orthopedic experience, she’s fluent in Spanish, she’s a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and she’s certified in dry needling.

Erinlee has been known for many years for providing truly specialized, exceptional care at Utah Physical Therapy Specialists, and we’re so grateful she’s continuing that same level of care here at Hand & Ortho now that UPTS has joined the H&O family.

Outside the clinic, you’ll probably find her skiing, hiking, or relaxing with chips & salsa while she watches a British crime drama.

We’re so excited to welcome Carson Poch, PT, DPT, and Thomas Young, PT, DPT, as Hand & Ortho’s 2025–2026 Orthopedic Residents!

Both are already familiar to the Hand & Ortho family — Carson previously worked with us as a physical therapy tech, and Thomas completed a student rotation here. Now, they’re continuing their journey with us through a year-long orthopedic residency, an advanced training program that allows therapists to deepen their expertise and provide even more specialized care to patients.

Meet Riley, our newest physical therapist at our Draper clinic!

Riley believes recovery should be meaningful—not just functional. He specializes in orthopedic care, ACL rehab, and total joint recovery, using hands-on treatment and strength training to help patients get back to what matters most.

He earned his DPT from the University of St. Augustine and completed an orthopedic residency through Evidence in Motion. Outside the clinic, he’s usually lifting, fly fishing, or hanging out with his wife and two children!

We’re excited to have him on the team! Welcome, Riley!
