This season, we paused to celebrate what truly makes his work meaningful- connection community and generosity.
Our holiday gathering was filled with laughter, games, great food, and gratitude. Even more special, we celebrated the collective effort that allowed us to raise enough during our annual holiday give back to sponsor residents across multiple assisted living facilities.
Moments like these are remind us that when we come together with intention, the impact reaches far beyond the room. ❤️🎄

One of the most meaningful moments of the season was watching our clients deliver holiday gifts to residents at assisted living facilities. Smiles were exchanged, stories were shared, and the room filled with joy- from the young heart to the wonderfully flirtatious spirits who reminded us that connection has no age limit.

Recovery is about more than healing- it’s about showing up, giving back, and rediscovering humanity on both sides of the exchange. This day was a gift for everyone involved. 🎁

As the colder months approach, many of the individuals we serve are taking brave steps toward building a better life—but some face barriers as simple as not having warm clothing. Thanks to TOSA’s kindness, several of our folks now have the coats and essentials they need to stay warm and continue their recovery journeys with dignity.

Partnerships like this remind us what community truly means. From all of us at The Haven, thank you for helping us keep hope—and hearts—warm this winter. ❄️💙

🍂 Fall is almost upon us! 🍂

For many, the “season of change” means:
🍁 Colorful leaves
🌽 Harvest time
☕ Cozy drinks and cuddles
🦃 Family holidays drawing near

But for many of the people we serve, this season also brings hardship:
👟 Cold, wet shoes and clothing
❄️ Risk of frostbite
🚫 Increased isolation

The fall and winter months can be especially difficult for those without the resources to stay warm. Together, we can ignite a spark of hope.

We are collecting donations of cold-weather clothing items such as:
🧦 Socks, underwear, pants and shirts
🧤 Gloves
🧥 Sweaters & coats
🎩 Hats & scarves
👟 Shoes and boots

📍 Donations can be dropped off at any of our three residential programs.
💲 All donations are tax-exempt, and receipts can be provided upon request.

OUR MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

The Haven offers both residential treatment and sober living programs for men and women struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol. All of The Haven's facilities are conveniently located near downtown Salt Lake City, within walking distance of UTA TRAX and the University of Utah. Individuals needing help to stay sober find extra support with The Haven's Sober Living Program. While residents work on the skills needed to live alcohol and drug-free, The Haven Alumni show residents that life without drugs and alcohol can be fun and exciting. The Haven has been has been a leader in treating substance misuse disorders in Utah since 1969. Recovery from alcohol and substance abuse is possible.
