This past September, Lourdes joined our Zion Adventure Retreat — and it became one of the highlights of her year.

From hiking and challenging rock climbing to doing things she didn’t think were possible at her age, Lourdes pushed herself in powerful ways. But what stood out most wasn’t the adventure — it was the connection.

After our December retreat, one of our attendees shared this with us:

This is why our retreats matter. They create space for connection, understanding, and lifelong bonds. I’m so grateful for our retreat leaders, volunteers, and the women who trust us with their stories and their hearts.

Our final retreat of 2025 wrapped up this past weekend in beautiful Heber Valley and it could not have been more perfect. Snow fell softly as our seven attendees settled into a peaceful Rest and Renew experience filled with connection, support, and healing moments.

We can hardly believe how quickly this year flew by. In 2025 we hosted thirty five retreats across Utah, Colorado, Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Every single one was made meaningful by the incredible women who joined us, the dedicated volunteers who showed up with so much heart, and the incredibly talented providers who shared their gifts with our attendees.

Last-minute post! Attention all MBC community - YSC event TONIGHT, December 10:

Join Young Survival Coalition (YSC) for The Space Between Living and Leaving, a two-hour virtual retreat designed for individuals living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and their co-survivor support network. The program will take place in two parts, allowing attendees to join for the full experience or whichever portion best fits their schedule. Part I begins at 7:00 PM ET, followed by a short 15-minute break, with Part II starting at 8:15 PM ET. This event will provide expert-led discussions, community connection, and wellness experiences in a safe, supportive environment. Together, we’ll explore key aspects of living with MBC — from treatment and decision-making to legacy and self-care.
