To the linemen out there in the snow and ice, working through the night so our homes stay warm and our lights stay on, we see you.
To the truckers rolling through these mountains in freezing weather, hauling food, fuel, medicine, and everything else this region depends on, mile after mile and curve after curve, we see you too.
And to everyone across our hills and hollers doing work that asks everything of your body. Road crews, miners, construction workers, mechanics, farmers. The folks whose jobs don’t stop just because the weather turns hard.
You are the heartbeat of Appalachia.
This place has always been built by people who show up even when it’s cold, even when it hurts, even when no one’s watching. Strong hands. Worn backs. Long days that don’t make the news but keep life moving all the same.
That kind of work leaves a mark. Sore shoulders. Tight spines. Hips and knees that carry the memory of years of honest labor. Most of you don’t complain. You just keep going.
At Slone Chiropractic, it’s a privilege to care for the people who carry this region on their backs. The ones who keep the power on, the shelves stocked, the roads open, and the community connected.
If your body’s been pushed hard lately, our door is open when you’re ready. No pressure. Just care from people who understand this way of life.
Stay safe out there. And thank you, truly, for everything you do for our Appalachian home.
