Mark Twain Medical Center announced that Anokh Singh Sohal, DO, MS, a board-certified general psychiatrist, has joined its behavioral health network, strengthening access to comprehensive mental health services for individuals and families throughout the region.

Dr. Sohal completed his General Psychiatry residency at UC Davis Health and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Science degrees from Touro University California. His training and professional experience span inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, emergency and consultation psychiatry, and telehealth-based care. He has worked extensively with complex and underserved patient populations across Northern California.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sohal has been actively involved in medical education, quality improvement, and community-based mental health initiatives. His background includes supervision of trainees and advanced practice providers, participation in psychiatric research, and a strong focus on culturally responsive care.
Dr. Sohal will provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, and consultation services at James Dalton Medical Office, supporting a wide range of behavioral health needs.

“Dr. Sohal brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to psychiatric care and a deep commitment to improving mental health access in our communities,” said Doug Archer, President and CEO of Mark Twain Medical Center. “His experience and dedication will be an important asset as we continue to expand behavioral health services locally.”
