To the women of aesthetics, On International Women’s Day, I’m thinking about the quiet power of what we do.
We are the women who listen closely. Who notice the details others overlook. Who hold space for people in vulnerable moments and help them see themselves a little more kindly in the mirror.
What we do is so much more than skincare.
We give the gift of confidence. The kind that shows up in someone standing a little taller, going makeup-free for the first time in years, or finally feeling at home in their own skin.
This work takes knowledge, intuition, patience, and heart. It takes long days, constant learning, and a deep commitment to caring for others.
And yet this community is filled with some of the most generous, passionate, and hardworking women I know.
I am endlessly proud to stand alongside you.
Grateful to learn from you. And honored to be part of a profession that helps people feel more confident, comfortable, and seen.
Here’s to the women behind the treatment rooms, the educators, the mentors, the innovators, and the ones just starting their journey.
