Tonight marks the final shift for our very own Jody Babiash, who has flown AirMed1 since 2008.

For more than 17 years, Jody has safely carried our crews across West Texas, answering the call when patients and communities needed us most. His service, knowledge & experience have made a lasting impact on our team.

Tonight, his family surprised him with a keepsake bear made from his flight suit - a reminder of the many missions and memories from his time with AirMed.

Thank you for everything, Jody. Wishing you the very best in the next adventure and we can’t wait to celebrate you soon!

Tanner Elliott has been flying with AirMed for seven months, bringing 13 years of EMS experience, including six years as a paramedic, and two years of flight experience.

Flight medicine has helped Tanner grow both clinically and professionally, expanding his critical care skills with every mission. What he values most is the team - clinicians and pilots working together with a shared commitment to the communities, hospitals, and EMS partners we serve. As Tanner shares, β€œBeing able to provide critical care during a patient’s most challenging moments - and doing it alongside a team that truly has each other’s backs - is what makes this job so meaningful to me.”
