Muriel is back!

If you’ve taken her class before, you already know, there’s no one quite like her.

She’s been teaching yoga since 2003, trained in India with BKS Iyengar, led teacher trainings in Costa Rica and Bali, and brings 30 years of bodywork into everything she does. That depth of knowledge shows up the moment she walks in the room.

Yoga Sculpt & Foot Therapy: resistance bands to build strength and balance your muscle energy, and therapy balls for your feet. Which sounds like a small thing until you try it.

“I felt like a new person after properly caring for my feet, and the rest of the session was perfect for the rest of my body.”

That’s what we hear. Every time.

Muriel knows the body in a way that’s genuinely rare. She’s curious, skilled, and the kind of teacher who makes you want to come back because you keep discovering something new.

“I hope more people can make this class.”
We do too. Come find out why.

Some things you just have to feel to understand.

Danny Goldberg’s Sound Immersion is one of them.

Danny is a true master of his craft. Three large gongs. Crystal singing bowls. Chimes. He even places bowls on your belly, so the vibration isn’t just around you, it’s through you.

What happens next is hard to put into words. Your whole system gets to reset. Your mind settles. Your nervous system exhales. You don’t have to do anything, you just receive.

If you’ve never experienced sound healing like this, don’t miss it.

And if you have... you already know.

Danny has shared this work at Stanford, with Google and LinkedIn, at Symbiosis and Lightning in a Bottle, in hospitals and recovery centers. But the version he brings to our little room in San Anselmo feels especially personal. 💛

Come lay down, receive, and let the vibrations do their magic.

“I can’t do yoga. I’m not flexible.”

We hear this all the time. And honestly? It’s exactly where most people start.

Walking into a yoga studio for the first time can feel like a lot. You don’t know where to put your mat. You’re not sure what the poses are called. You wonder if everyone else knows something you don’t.

They did too, once.

I wrote something for anyone who’s been curious but hasn’t quite made it through the door, what to expect when you arrive, which classes are a good starting point, and what people usually tell us after their first few weeks.

You don’t need to be ready. Most people aren’t.
You can just come in, roll out a mat, and see what happens. 🧡

Allegra is coming back for a Song Circle!

If you’ve been to one of our Sunday live music classes, you already know her. She’s the one with the guitar who somehow makes savasana feel like it was made just for you.

Wednesday April 22nd, she’s holding something a little different. A Song Circle, where instead of listening, you sing.

I’ll be honest with you. I am not a singer. And yet... this is one of those evenings I genuinely look forward to.

There’s something that happens when a room full of people decide to open their mouths together. Not to perform. Not to impress. Just to let something out. At first you feel a little unsure. And then somewhere along the way, you’re just... belting. And it feels incredible.

Singing together is powerful. It’s fun. And it’s one of the best community-building things I’ve experienced in this space.

You don’t need to be a singer. You don’t need any experience. You just need to show up.

Quantum Light Breathwork & Shamanic Sound Healing Journey

📅 Saturday, April 11
🕓 4:00 PM
📍 Home Studio Yoga — San Anselmo

This is an invitation to step out of the busyness of everyday life… and into something deeper.

Through breath, sound, and movement, you’ll be guided into a space where the body softens, the mind quiets, and you can reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way.

We’ll begin with gentle, embodied practices to release tension and open the body, followed by a heart-activating Quantum Light Breathwork journey. From there, you’ll be held in a powerful shamanic sound experience with flutes, bowls, gongs, and grounding rhythms, supporting deep release, clarity, and renewal.

This is a space to let go, to listen, and to remember what’s already within you.

“Tom is fantastic! So many people would benefit from his powerful and gentle approach to self discovery.”

If you’ve been feeling the nudge to slow down, go inward, or try something new, this might be for you.

Come as you are.

✨ Welcoming Sarah to Home Studio ✨

We’re so happy to welcome Sarah Lee to our teaching team.

Sarah brings such a thoughtful, grounded, and welcoming presence to her classes. With a background in psychology and years of dedicated practice, she weaves together science, movement, and mindfulness in a way that helps you feel more connected, both on and off the mat.

Her classes are intentional yet playful, with a focus on breath, alignment, and moving with curiosity rather than judgment. It’s the kind of practice that gently brings you out of your head and back into your body.

Join her for her first classes:
🧘 Wednesday at 9am
🧘 Thursday at noon

Come meet Sarah, move with her, and help us give her a warm Home Studio welcome.

There’s a lot happening at Home right now… and it makes me so happy. 💛

New teachers stepping in and bringing their own energy.
Events that invite us to slow down, connect, and try something new.

And a community that keeps showing up, again and again.

Seeing familiar faces, celebrating small wins, and witnessing each other grow… it’s so special to witness!

It’s not just about yoga. It’s about feeling like you belong somewhere.

If you’ve been meaning to come in, this is your little nudge.

There’s a spot for you here.

With love,
Martine

We’re excited to welcome Joaquin to the Home Studio team

You may have seen him at the front desk, and now you’ll get the chance to practice with him in the studio.

Joaquin will be subbing Victoria’s Vinyasa Flow this Tuesday at 6 PM at our San Anselmo / At Home Studio location.

He’ll be teaching a slow-flow Vinyasa class with a breakdown of Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limb Staff Pose) supported by light breath-work. The class theme centers on pratyahara (turning the senses inward) and svadhyaya (self-study).

We’re grateful to have him with us and hope you can join the practice.

Every day, people walk into Home Studio carrying real life: stress, joy, kids, work, overwhelm, curiosity.

No one comes in perfectly put together, and no one needs to.
This space was built for belonging. For slowing down.
And for connection.

For being seen as a whole human, not just a “yogi.”

We’re more than a yoga studio, we’re a modern village.
A place to breathe, move, drink tea, talk, reset, reconnect, and feel held by community.

Whether you’re new, stretched thin, coming back after a break, or stepping onto the mat for the first time… there’s space for you here.

Welcome Home.

We spend so much of our lives doing, doing, doing.

Moving. Thinking. Planning. Holding it all together.

And then there’s this moment…

Lying still. Live music filling the room.
Nothing to fix. Nothing to achieve.

Just being.

Join Britt Barrett for a guided, candlelit breathwork experience designed to help you release stress, reconnect with your body, and access deeper emotional clarity.

I want to share something personally…
This workshop is powerful. And I know it can feel a little intimidating to think about emotional release in a group setting. I felt that too.

What I’ve experienced is that the space Britt creates is incredibly safe, grounded, and respectful, you’re fully in your own process. And somehow, hearing others release can actually help you soften and let go of what you’ve been holding onto.

It’s empowering. It’s beautiful. And it can be a really meaningful way to move through something that’s ready to shift.

If you’ve been curious, maybe this is your moment to listen to that quiet voice inside. 💛

Through simple yet powerful breathing techniques, you’ll unwind tension, reconnect to your inner resilience, and give yourself space to reset and recharge.

Every event we host is carefully chosen. I don’t just say yes to anything. These are gatherings I truly believe in, because they’re meaningful, because they bring people together, and because they create space for something real to happen.

Sound, singing, breath, sitting in circle… there’s something powerful about being together in this way. The teachers who hold these spaces are incredibly skilled, kind, and deeply intentional. That’s why I love them.

My hope is that these experiences help you grow, soften, and shine your light a little brighter, simply by showing up, being open, and trying something new. 💛

Here’s what’s coming up:

Wed, March 25 | 7:15pm
