It’s the year of the peptides! We were introduced to the power of these molecules with Ozempic and the other GLP-1 medications, and we are learning more about them every day.

If you used them to lose weight, you may need to stay on them long term to keep the weight off. That’s fine, but Dr. isakson will want you to stop your injections about 2 weeks before the surgery for anesthesia safety, and not restart until your appetite comes back!

This is a 41 year old gentleman who came to Dr. Isakson for improvement in his chest contours. He had never been particularly comfortable with his shirt off, but he was also becoming increasingly uncomfortable even with his shirt on! He felt his chest contours were not fitting with the rest of his body, which he felt was otherwise in a reasonable shape for his time and position in lift.
After consultation with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Isakson, he realized he had a condition called “gynecomastia.” It had gotten to the point it required a complete excision with a “free ni**le graft,” or treating his ni**les as a skin graft! They decided some liposuction of the chest wall would help maximize his results after surgery.
Here he is, almost 6 months after surgery and feeling great. Like many men, when asked if he was staying on top of his scar care, he laughed and said “no.” He thinks his results are great, and they will continue to improve (but with a little scar care could be even better!).

What a weekend!! The 10 kilometer Spartan Race here in Devine, Texas was an absolute blast!

Nearly finishing on the podium, Dr. Isakson was still a little faster than last year - pushed on by some strong encouragement (and participation) by family and friends.

Look at that neck! What an improvement in her under chin area, but also her jawline!

This 40-something woman was tired of unflattering angles in selfies and zoom calls. She had tried diet, exercise and alllllll the other options until she found Dr. Isakson. After talking about her goals and her specific anatomy, they decided chin liposuction (aka submental lipo) should help.

What a change! This 45 year old dad lost about 100 pounds with diet and exercise (maybe a touch of ozempic), but was left with extra skin on his stomach and big rolls above his butt…
