Today is National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD).

This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the impact of HIV and AIDS on young people and calling on policymakers and communities to take action. It’s also a time to recognize and uplift the powerful prevention, treatment, and care efforts led by young people across the U.S. Education, access, and advocacy matter. Together, we can support a healthier future for the next generation.

🌟 Self-love is more than a hashtag, it’s a practice.
It’s the choice to look in the mirror and appreciate the person staring back at you — flaws, victories, struggles, and all. It’s celebrating progress, forgiving yourself for setbacks, and choosing care even on the tough days.

💪 Self-love helps you:
✨ Recognize your inherent value
✨ Support your own health and treatment goals
✨ Build strength to face stigma and challenges
✨ Create a life filled with meaning, connection, and care

You don’t have to walk that path alone. Operation Brave offers guidance, support, and resources — from connecting you with medical care and treatment to helping with mental health services, and community connections. All with confidentiality and at no cost.

The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation () and The Sero Project officially declared the first-ever HIV Is Not a Crime Awareness Day in 2022.

This date matters. It bridges Black History Month and Women’s History Month—two communities disproportionately impacted by both HIV and HIV criminalization.

Here’s the truth:
Thanks to scientific advancements, HIV is no longer a death sentence. With proper treatment, people living with HIV can achieve undetectable = untransmittable (U=U), meaning there is virtually zero risk of transmission.

Yet in 30+ states, people are still prosecuted and stigmatized simply for their HIV status—even when no risk exists.

We stand together to say it clearly and unapologetically:
HIV IS NOT A CRIME.

Awareness leads to change. Change leads to justice. ❤️

Movement is care. 💪🏾🧠❤️

Exercise supports your whole self: body, mind, and immune system.

For people living with HIV, regular movement can boost energy, lower stress, support heart health, and help you feel stronger day by day.
