Just a little reminder ✨

At the moment I’m currently soaking up all the newborn snuggles and enjoying some time being off-call. While I love what I do…life as a homemaker with 4 littles, homeschooling is a full time job itself 🤪My family will always come first and it’s important I spend this fleeting season intentionally.

I plan to be on maternity leave March- May.

I will begin offering 1:1 natural childbirth education classes starting in June and slowly start accepting 2026 due dates later this fall.

…and last but not least…

I specialize in helping families break away from the medical model of care and embrace a more holistic approach. There’s nothing I love more than helping women prepare to give birth in the comfort of their own home (or select birth centers). With that being said, while I am grateful for western medicine when need be, I do not take on clients that plan to give birth at the hospital.

Hard to believe we’re coming up on 1 whole month with our girl ✨

…4 weeks of navigating this postpartum season, healing, soaking up all the snuggles and adjusting to life as a family of 6.

It’s hard to put into words how much her pregnancy helped heal my soul. Bringing her into the world on my own with my husband by my side in the comfort of our home was one of the most freeing and empowering experiences. I’ll be sharing our story in the weeks to come… for now, I’m slowly starting to emerge from my postpartum bubble❤️

Much more behind than I’d like to be in sharing all of the births I’ve had the honor of supporting this past year😅 Planning on sharing birth stories differently in 2025 (more to come in the next few weeks) but couldn’t help feel the need to play a little catch up first.

There’s some women you meet who are just determined to persevere despite their given circumstances.

What’s the saying, something like “nothing like a woman who knows what she wants?” I felt this in my bones the moment we met, she had this utter sense of calm, practical yet aware of what was required to achieve the natural birth she intuitively knew was meant for her.

As a first time mama she was left feeling broken down and unsupported throughout her birth and postpartum by her partner. Despite everything she’d been through she was determined to persevere, envisioning that one day things would be different. Flash forward to meeting her amazing future husband and conceiving baby #2 she decided to fore go the medical model of care that led her astray the first time around.

She hired a midwife and not just any midwife- Nikki Brown . Prenatal care was drastically different this time around and that layed the foundation for this experience to be truly about her. Not to mention the birth center has this essence of feeling “at home.”

When the time came she listened to her body and knew exactly what to do. We all spent time talking and laughing with one another during early labor and the room quickly shifted as she progressed. She flowed through labor seamlessly allowing her body to take the lead as her husband held space for her mentally and physically.

Her birth team and I assisted when needed and the day made for a wonderful example of those around her “knowing when to sit on their hands and when to use them.”

Birth can be such an intimate experience when mama’s oxytocin starts flowing and is nurtured by the those who make her feel safe & protected, it’s such a beautiful thing to bare witness to.

The both of them walked away from this experience forever changed, her empowered from reclaiming authority over her birth and him from watching her step into her power. All of us as birth workers, in awe of her easygoing and bubbly spirit.

Could not be happier for this growing family. Hard to believe this week already checked off a big milestone- solo parenting when dad goes back to work😭

Your journey to meeting your girls has been nothing short of a testament to your resilience and unwavering spirit.

From the very beginning of your pregnancy, you faced opposition at every turn simply because you were carrying twins. Yet, through it all, you remained steadfast, determined, and fiercely committed to listening to your body and following its lead. Despite the challenges and doubts thrown your way, you never succumbed to the fears of the outside world.

Watching you transcend through the birth portal with such strength and grace was a truly profound experience. Even in the midst of contractions, you radiated joy, laughter, and an unshakeable sense of calm. Your ability to find moments of lightness, like enjoying a burger, amidst the intensity of labor was a testament to your incredible spirit.

How grateful I am to have been in your corner holding space and cheering you on throughout one of the most transformative days of your life. Pretty sure my face says it all👉🏻🥹

I can’t believe today already marks one month since this memorable day 💕

Proud of you for always believing in yourself Erika Carrion. I feel so fortunate to have a front row seat to watch your family grow, there really is nothing quite like walking through the trenches of motherhood alongside someone who just gets you.

If 2024 has taught me anything so far- it’s that there is so much beauty is the unknown when it comes to giving birth. Birth can be wildly unpredictable, just like your so called “due date.”

Day in the life as a Doula: Postpartum Visit

…and it went like ✨

3 hours condensed into 15 seconds💨 sharing a quick look at the attention to detail and amount of love that I pour into each of my postpartum visits.

There’s nothing quite like feeling seen and supported by another woman who knows the strength and determination it takes to preservere through the depths labor. Someone who knows of the delicate song and dance between mama and baby that nature has so perfectly designed. Or the amount of internal motivation that is required in order to surrender and truly trust in your body’s natural ability to give birth.

I could go on and on.

Holding space for women as they transition from pregnancy to postpartum holds such a unique place in my heart.

There’s just something so special about slowing down and choosing to see the silver lining amidst the highs and lows of this new season. Soaking in and reflecting on all the 4th trimester has to offer.
