Did you know sciatica is actually a symptom of an underlying issue, not its own diagnosis?
Usually, when a patient comes in for sciatic pain, we see degenerative changes in their lumbar spine (the low back). These changes are built up over years and can’t always be designated to one specific incident. Sometimes this pain stems from dysfunction in the sacroiliac joint (pelvis area).
In order to get to whatever the root cause of YOUR sciatica is, we will take X-rays and do a full examination to ensure that we are addressing the correct issue.
