🐟 BLACKENED SWORDFISH WITH SPAGHETTI SQUASH 🐟

BIG FLAVOR, ZERO GUILT

Protein:
• Swordfish

Vegetable:
• Cooked spaghetti squash

Ingredients
• Smoked paprika
• Garlic powder
• Cayenne (optional)
• Black pepper
• Lemon juice
• 0-cal cooking spray

Instructions
Season the swordfish with spices.
Spray the pan and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until firm and cooked through.
Remove fish.
Warm spaghetti squash in the same pan with lemon juice.
Serve fish over squash.

Words of Wisdom

SPAGHETTI SQUASH CHOW MEIN
Excellent for the losing phase and beyond.

Ingredients
1 large spaghetti squash
1/4 cup coconut aminos
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 drop or two of liquid Stevia
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon white pepper (or black pepper!)
1 onion, diced
3 stalks celery, sliced diagonally
2 cups cole slaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)

Directions
Cut a spaghetti squash in half length wise and scoop out seeds. Lay skin side up in a 13 x 9 pyrex and pour 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes, until flesh is very tender. Once done, scoop out flesh with a fork so it breaks apart into strings, set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together coconut aminos, garlic, Stevia, ginger and white pepper; set aside.

Heat large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and celery, and cook, stirring often, until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in cabbage until heated through, about 1 minute.

Stir in spaghetti squash and sauce mixture until well combined, about 2 minutes.

Serve immediately.

Happy Tuesday ChiroThin Doctors! What’s on everyone’s menu this week? Need some inspo? Check out these ChiroThin Approved Steak Rolls! 🥩🫑🧅🌱

Ingredients:

• 4 oz. thinly sliced sirloin or flank steak

• Pink salt and freshly ground black pepper

• 1 sprig fresh rosemary, chopped

• 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips

• 1 green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips

• 4 oz. zucchini, sliced into thin strips

• 1 medium yellow or red onion, thinly sliced

• White button or cremini mushrooms, cut into thin strips

Instructions:

1. Sprinkle steak with salt, freshly ground black pepper and chopped fresh rosemary

2. Heat skillet over medium-high heat and cook the vegetables until tender, seasoning with salt and pepper.

3. Place vegetable strips vertically on one end of each steak cutlet so that once rolled up, the end of the vegetables sticks out of each end of the steak roll.

4. Roll and secure with a toothpick.

5. Repeat for each steak roll.

6. Grill about 2 minutes on each side or according to desired doneness or cook them in a skillet, frying over medium-high heat until done
