From piercing to problem—and finally, to peace of mind. ✨

Keloids can develop when the skin overheals after trauma, such as a piercing, resulting in a firm, raised scar that may continue to grow over time. For many patients, it’s more than cosmetic—it can be uncomfortable, itchy, and impact confidence.

In this case, the patient had a keloid in the same area removed, and it regrew. We performed a precise surgical removal of the keloid, carefully excising the excess scar tissue while preserving the surrounding healthy skin. To help minimize recurrence (a key concern with keloids), this approach is often combined with additional therapies such as steroid injections and radiation therapy.

The result? A smoother contour, relief from symptoms, and a fresh start for the skin.
