Last Friday, we celebrated 5 years of Produce Markets at Christus Westover Hills Hospital with their biggest market to date!

100 shoppers spent an average of $15, walking away with more than 20 items each.

We've come a long way from that first covid era market in the side parking lot at 6am!

Our Westover Hills Market has grown into our largest public produce market. We're in the lobby every other Friday. Parking is FREE! Enjoy $5 off sponsored by the American Heart Association. (Next market - 3/27)

I was honored to attend the City’s proclamation of National Nutrition Month on Thursday, March 5th. I was proud to be there on behalf of the Food Policy Council and River City Produce, representing the many partners working every day to strengthen food access and nutrition across San Antonio.

A special thank you to Councilwoman Teri Castillo for recognizing and mentioning my work across the community.

It means so much to see the importance of fresh food, produce literacy, and community nutrition lifted up in these spaces.

Being a part of the Project Inspire Program was one of my favorite moments of 2025. Lucas and I are so proud to share our experiences and Produce Lady knowledge with the Project Inspire Teens and mentors.

In January, teens from Project Inspire San Antonio Cohort 1 graduated from the program, a partnership between UT San Antonio and the Pediatric Trauma Department at University Hospital. This initiative strives to prevent firearm-related injuries.

Thank you to Dr. Erika Brigmon and Ashley Brooks for inviting me to be a part of the vision. Thank you to my friends at American Heart Association - Texas for funding Produce IQ Day for Project Inspire!

Congratulations to Cohorts 1 & 2! We're so proud of you all. We're ready for Cohort 3!
