The future of spine surgery: healing backs without screws or metal implants.

Metal rods, screws and bone grafts have long been the backbone of spinal fusion surgeries — a fix for fractured spines, worn-out discs or bones that refuse to heal on their own. The hardware works. But it’s also rigid and invasive, and often leaves patients with lingering pain, stiffness and ...

Dr. Padilla joined our practice four years ago, searching for a place where he could truly love the people he worked with and care deeply for his patients.
From day one, he has been exactly that and more.

He is an exceptional neurosurgeon — compassionate, approachable, and trusted by everyone who meets him. The community loves him, and our entire team is grateful to work alongside him.

Choosing to make New Braunfels his home has allowed him to bring high-quality neurosurgical care to a rapidly growing region, and we’re incredibly thankful for his commitment and his heart for patients.

Thank you, Dr. Padilla, for expanding neurosurgery to New Braunfels and for everything you bring to our TN Spine family.

🌍✨ Why Mission Work Matters ✨🌍
For doctors, healing has no borders. Mission trips to developing countries remind us why we chose medicine — to serve, to heal, and to bring hope where it’s needed most. 💉❤️

It’s about more than medicine — it’s about compassion, connection, and leaving a lasting impact. When we share our skills, train local teams, and care for patients who have little access to healthcare, we all grow. 🌱

Every trip changes lives — including ours. 🩺🌎💫

Study supports acupuncture as a safe and effective treatment for chronic low back pain in older adults.

According to a recent study, older Americans with chronic low back pain who received acupuncture had greater improvement in physical function and reduced pain than those who received usual medical care only, generally prescribed medications or physical therapy.

What is Lumbar Stenosis?
Lumbar stenosis occurs when the spinal canal in the lower back becomes narrowed, putting pressure on the nerves that travel to the legs. This can cause pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness — especially when standing or walking — that often improves when sitting or bending forward.

Common causes include age-related changes, arthritis, or herniated discs. Treatment may range from physical therapy and injections to surgical options such as a laminectomy or spinal fusion, depending on severity.

At Texas Neurospine, we help patients find relief and regain mobility through personalized, advanced spine care.

We will always be grateful to Dom Dominguez, SPOHN CEO of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa, for believing in our vision when few others did. He played a pivotal role in bringing us into partnership with CHRISTUS in 2018 and helped us grow by supporting the recruitment of amazing physicians like Dr. Villarreal, Dr. Cecchini, Dr. Padilla, and Dr. Monsivais.

Dom trusted us to lead the way, gave us the freedom to build something special, and always advocated for our success. His belief in us helped shape what Texas Neurospine is today.

Dom will always be a friend we deeply value — both to our practice and on a personal level.

As we celebrate our upcoming 10 yr anniversary. Dr. Michelle Cecchini joined Texas Neurospine in 2019, bringing exceptional expertise in brain surgery and an incredible spirit that elevated the entire group. Her arrival marked a pivotal moment—her neurosurgical specialty added depth and credibility to the practice, reinforcing TN Spine’s reputation as a leader in comprehensive neurosurgical care.

Beyond her clinical excellence, Dr. Cecchini has been a steady, grounding presence—known for her calm, easygoing nature and thoughtful perspective. When faced with complex business or clinical challenges, the team often says, “Let’s call Michelle”—because she always finds the right answer.

She welcomed everyone with open arms and quickly became more than a colleague—she became family. As the first female neurosurgeon in the group, she brought balance, unity, and diversity, helping to shape the inclusive and collaborative culture that defines TN Spine today.

We’re so lucky to have her as both a friend and an incredible teammate.🧠
