There is a moment many people experience in therapy, friendship, or even in a random conversation where something shifts.
You say something you’ve carried for years… and instead of confusion, dismissal, or someone trying to “fix” you…

Someone simply understands.

And suddenly you realize:
“Oh… I’m not too much.”
“I’m not broken.”
“Someone actually sees what I’ve been trying to say.”

For many neurodivergent individuals—especially those with ADHD or Autism—that moment of finally feeling seen and heard can be incredibly powerful.

Because for years you may have heard things like:
• “You’re overreacting.”
• “Just try harder.”
• “Why can’t you be more organized?”
• “Everyone else can do this.”

But the truth is, your brain was never the problem.
The environment, expectations, and misunderstanding often were.

When someone truly listens without judgment, something important happens:
✨ The nervous system relaxes.
✨ Shame starts to loosen its grip.
✨ Self-trust begins to grow.

Feeling seen doesn’t fix everything overnight.
But it can be the first moment you stop fighting yourself.

And that moment matters more than most people realize.
If you’ve ever had that experience—where someone finally got it—what was that moment like for you?

👇 I’d love to hear your story.

Autistic children are beautiful humans. The joy I get from my sons stemming is a feeling that non-ND parents dont get to experience. I am proud of that. He is not weird, he is my gift from this world. 🥰

ADHD isn't laziness.

It's:

* Task Paralysis
* Time Blindness
* Nervous System Overwhelm

If an ADHD person wanted to do better, they are probably already feeling like they're failing.

Instead of asking:
"Why didn't you just do it?"

Try:
"What got in the way?"

If this resonates, share it with someone who needs to understand ADHD better.

Like, follow, share 🥰

People pleasing is a reaction to an environment that created chaos. It was how you survived it.

Borderline personality disorder is a mental health condition that affects the way people feel about themselves and others, making it hard to function in everyday life. It includes a pattern of unstable, intense relationships, as well as impulsiveness and an unhealthy way of seeing themselves. Impulsiveness involves having extreme emotions and acting or doing things without thinking about them first.

People with borderline personality disorder have a strong fear of abandonment or being left alone. Even though they want to have loving and lasting relationships, the fear of being abandoned often leads to mood swings and anger. It also leads to impulsiveness and self-injury that may push others away.

Borderline personality disorder usually begins by early adulthood. The condition is most serious in young adulthood. Mood swings, anger and impulsiveness often get better with age. But the main issues of self-image and fear of being abandoned, as well as relationship issues, go on.

If you have borderline personality disorder, know that many people with this condition get better with treatment. They can learn to live stabler, more-fulfilling lives.

Adverse childhood experiences may contribute to the development of borderline personality disorder. Common negative experiences may include, but aren’t limited to, the following:

*Neglect
*Physical and/or sexual abuse
*Removal, separation or loss of a caregiver, parent or loved one
*Traumatic event

In some cases, the parts of your brain responsible for emotion and behavior may have trouble communicating as expected. This could lead to BPD symptoms. (Mayo Clinic ❤️)

Affirming means more then acceptance of neurodiversity.

It means transformation of your spaces against societal expectations and norms.

It means transformation of your own expectations to allow for identity expressions.

It means transformation of the environment to create physical and emotional safety without hesitation for your children.

It means to completely dismantle any and all oppressive behaviors that have been learned, taught, and chosen in order to create complete safety for someone "different".
