It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Anthony Carrillo Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Ray left this world unexpectedly on April 6, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on September 17, 1957, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas, where he would spend a life enriched by family, friendship, and unwavering kindness.
Ray was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Anita Cabrera and Raymond Anthony Carrillo, and his dear brother, Roger Abel Carrillo. Though their absence was felt deeply, Ray carried their love and memories within him, embodying the values they instilled.
Ray's legacy is lovingly continued by his children, Ray and Rachel, Ray's siblings—brothers Ralph, Richard (Bridget), Ruben, Jesse (Cecelia), and sisters Anna, Debbie (Rudy), Patricia, and Nora—will forever remember him as a pillar of strength and love. He leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins, all of whom will deeply miss his warmth and kindness.
Those who knew Ray would attest to his boundless compassion and generous spirit. His personality was marked by a gentle strength and a loving nature, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.His kindness was a guiding light, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him best.

A service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held on April 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Southwest Funeral Home, located at 3946 S. Zarzamora St. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor a life well-lived, to share stories, and to find comfort in each other’s company.
