April is

We’re taking time to raise awareness about how sexual violence can impact health, including the risk of HIV and other long term physical and emotional effects. This is especially important when we talk about Black women, who are disproportionately affected and deserve access to safe, supportive care.

This is about people, not just numbers. It’s about making sure survivors are seen, supported, and have access to the care they deserve. ❤️‍🩹

Taking care of your health is part of your healing. Support, testing, and prevention are here for you when you’re ready.
We must all support survivors and show up for one another! 🫂

Care and support are here for you. 🤍

Black women carry a heavier burden when it comes to health, from maternal care to HIV and beyond. These outcomes are not inevitable. With the right care, support, and resources, they can change.

We believe in showing up for our community. In creating spaces where Black women feel seen, heard, and cared for.
Black women’s health is important. You are not alone. ♥️

At a time when fear and stigma were everywhere, she used her voice and platform to push HIV/AIDS awareness into the mainstream. She helped turn it into a conversation that couldn’t be ignored.
