Morning Coffee? Pumpkin Spice Latte, Please

 Did you know how you start your morning can affect inflammation and pain levels?

 Coffee on an empty stomach = cortisol spike + stress response which could be tough on your stomach and can worsen that mid-morning crash.

Adding protein & fat = slows digestion, steadies caffeine absorption, and gives you more stable energy. Research indicates that consuming caffeine, especially on an empty stomach, can lead to a pronounced spike in cortisol levels, potentially increasing stress and inflammation.

Try this cozy fall recipe for a delicious, high in protein anti-stress boost.

Ingredients:
1 cup warm whole milk (or your favorite milk alternative)
1 scoop protein powder (raw or vanilla)
2–3 tbsp pumpkin puree
1 tbsp maple syrup (or to taste, less is better)
½ tbsp ghee or grass-fed butter
½ tsp pumpkin spice
Dash of cinnamon (never too much!)
Dash of Himalayan salt

Directions:
Mix all ingredients until smooth and warm.
Pour over your favorite brewed coffee.
(Optional) use a blender for a frothy, latte-style finish.

Tip: Using raw protein and cutting back on maple syrup keeps this drink cleaner, higher in protein, and lower in sugar, perfect for steady energy and recovery.

Here’s the truth: doing rehab only when it hurts is like waiting for a warning light before fixing your car 🚨
Muscles, tendons, and joints need consistent movement, strengthening, and guidance to truly heal.
