Last Friday, TruOrtho orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Amanda Marshall-Rodriguez, M.D. and Dr. Alaina Brelin performed five life-changing joint replacement surgeries in a single day, helping patients restore mobility and move forward without pain.

Through Operation Walk USA, Dr. Marshall-Rodriguez performed a bilateral knee replacement for Mr. Joey Kirkland, while Dr. Brelin completed three total hip replacements—all part of a national charitable effort that provides hip and knee replacement surgery to uninsured patients across the United States.

Each December, Operation Walk USA brings together volunteer surgeons and hospital partners who donate their time and expertise to make care accessible and to give patients a renewed quality of life. We’re proud to see our physicians lead with both skill and compassion.

Here are a few moments from Naomi Shields, MD Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon recent trip to Cairo, where she participated in the EGFAS / Ain Shams International Foot & Ankle Congress and spent several days teaching, presenting, and connecting with surgeons from across the globe.

From hospital visits and hands-on labs to international lectures and faculty gatherings, it was an inspiring week dedicated to advancing foot & ankle education worldwide.
