That's a wrap! Amazing three day video shoot for the Caregiver Skills Video Series.

Our goal as an organization is to prepare family caregivers for the responsbility that they take on and improve outcomes for them and their loved ones. Through our collaboration with and the Caregiver Video Series will result in improved educational resources for family caregivers.

It was great working with the team as they brought this concept to life.
Huge thanks to for allowing us to shoot at their amazing community.

We are excited to announce a new module, “Understanding Dementia”. This module is based on feedback from one of our community partners Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG).

This module will address a families understanding of the disease, typical disease progression, communication and managing behaviors.

From the beginning our goal has been to better support families so that outcomes for family caregivers and care recipients. We believe when addressing dementia that can mean keeping your loved one home, living with a feeling of purpose in a safe environment.

One of our Family Educators, Marie presented our skills curriculum for a virtual workshop hosted by ConnectAbility last week.

It is so important to maintain access to resources for family caregivers. Throughout the pandemic we have been flexible and adjusted the way we support families.

In most circumstances the burden that families face has only continued to grow. We are so thankful for great organizations such as who are a stead fast resource in the community. In this particular workshop all caregivers were taking care of someone with paralysis. As a result there was a lot of complex transfers going on in the home. If not done properly with the right type of equipment these transfers can result in an injury for the family caregiver.
