Congratulations to our April Employee of the Month, Graciela Vega!

Graciela has been a valued member of our housekeeping team for six years, and our residents will be the first to tell you how wonderful she is. Her attention to detail and caring heart shine through in every space she cares for — from resident apartments to shared community common areas.

Thank you, Graciela, for your dedication to our mission, and congratulations on this well deserved recognition! 👏❤️

Today, our Village community was honored to host the Promotion Ceremony for Staff Sergeant First Class Devona Council, U.S. Army.

We are incredibly proud to have Devona as part of our Village family, where she serves as Angelique House Memory Care and Assisted Living Manager.

The ceremony was made even more meaningful by the presence of Chief Master Sergeant Alan McDonald, U.S. Air Force — one of our veteran residents — who had the honor of presenting Devona with her pin and flowers.

Congratulations, Devona, on this well‑deserved achievement. We are so proud of you! ❤️

Yesterday, our Village was honored to attend the Living History Museum at Incarnate Word High School! ☘

This event was the culmination of a semester-long service project with the National Honor Society. Students conducted interviews with 30 residents and created a multimedia exhibit that beautifully captured their stories. Our residents loved exploring photos and artifacts, viewing resident-inspired artwork, sampling home-cooked recipes from resident cookbooks, and enjoying musical performances and a decades-themed fashion show. 🎨🎶

The best part of the evening was seeing the real friendships that have formed between students and residents. 💚 Our heartfelt thanks to the IWHS NHS students, and congratulations to all the seniors heading toward graduation this spring! 👏🥰

Kudos to Lynda Jennings, our Vice President of Clinical Services and Compliance, for representing The Village at this year’s Texas Assisted Living Association Conference in Round Rock, TX!

Lynda’s presentation, “Smart Aging: Technology That Protects and Empowers Seniors,” delivered powerful insights into how innovative technology can enhance safety, independence, and quality of life for older adults.

Great job, Lynda! We’re incredibly fortunate to have your leadership and expertise here at The Village at Incarnate Word. ☺️❤
