Taking care of the womyn of this planet is a priority for our program. We feel that when we are taking care of the womyn we are taking care of everyone on this planet. Whole Woman Whole World provides free and subsidized acupuncture for womyn in San Antonio who otherwise can’t afford preventative healthcare.
Acupuncture is ancient medicine that can help balance the body’s various systems. It is well-known for its ability to reduce stress, anxiety, pain, addiction and so much more. It can even help prevent disease from taking hold in the body. This program makes is possible for these women, girls, le****ns, and transgenders to find nourishment and support via community acupuncture. Sometimes just taking that first step of making an appointment for themselves starts the process of healing. Many of these women have been holding multiple jobs to support their family. And of course, self-care will always come behind paying rent, bills, etc... Some of these women have been abused. Whole Woman Whole World gives these women a place to come where they are valued, respected, and taken care of.
