We need to send out a public service announcement for our Uvalde patients.

The “Dr. Terry Clinic” technician that recently tested positive for COVID 19 is not affiliated with our clinic. Our practitioners in Uvalde are Dr. Duncan Friedman and Dr. Oday Alsheikh. There is a different clinic with a different Dr. Terry.

Rest assured that none of our employees have tested positive, so please do not cancel or change your eye appointment out of concern for virus exposure. Thank you.

To Our Patients:

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) news and updates. The Center for Disease Control and Metro Health in San Antonio are continually keeping us aware of new notices and changes to this virus and its effects.

We are also interested in protecting the health and well-being of our patients, our staff, and everyone’s families.

To that end, we are still open. We are still seeing our patients. We have instituted efforts to keep our facilities disinfected and safe for our patients such as additional cleaning of communal areas and patient treatment areas.

We also ask that you help us with the following precautions:

1) If you are feeling unwell, experiencing a cough, or have a fever, please call us at your earliest convenience, so we can reschedule your appointment.

2) Please notify our office if you have recently traveled outside the country and have an upcoming appointment.

3) Upon entering our offices, please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

4) Please cover your cough or sneeze with the crease of your elbow.

5) Please try to avoid touching your face.

6) Consider cancelling un-necessary travel.

7) Please limit the number of people accompanying you to your appointment. Less points of contact mean less chance of transmission.

Finally, know the symptoms. These include feeling tired, fever, weakness and shortness of breath.

As stated, we are happy to reschedule your appointment if you feel unwell. Please feel free to call our operators at any point.
