It is hard to express the feelings I have had the last couple of weeks—being near a natural disaster of this magnitude, especially having two girls the same age as many who were impacted, has unraveled me in ways I have not fully processed. I have grieved and prayed for the mothers and families who have lost little ones in the Texas Hill Country flooding, feeling there is not much else I can do. I hang on to trust in the Lord and the beauty of the body of believers who pray, give, and go.
Dr. Aaker got a chance to go to Hunt, TX today to aid with the cleanup, and we will continue to do all we can to help. We look forward to miracles and healing for the Hill Country. We stand with them in prayer.
