April Smith, Founder, and Director of Greater Learning LP, specializes in working with young children with communication, feeding, swallowing, and behavior disabilities. Treatment hierarchies are built-in with developmentally appropriate activities, including “floor time”, where children learn best. April believes families are instrumental in building a child’s skills. April actively supports parental and caregiver involvement in the treatment process to increase opportunities for skills to be reinforced within the child’s daily environment/activities and provide for greater carryover of skills to the home environment. April holds Master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and Clinical Psychology. She has over 30 years of experience in the field, specializing in individuals who present with learning, behavior, and emotional difficulties. Therapists at Greater Learning LP hold Master's degrees in Speech-Language pathology, are licensed by the state of Texas, and are certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
