Acupuncture Shock: Ancient Technique Found to Activate the Body’s Hidden Repair System

New research from Taiwan is turning the world of health and medicine upside down. Scientists discovered that acupuncture doesn’t just relieve pain — it actually triggers stem cells from the bone marrow to move into the bloodstream and repair damaged organs. This ancient practice, once thought to work only through nerve stimulation, may hold far deeper regenerative power than anyone realized.

In the study, specific acupuncture points activated the body’s internal “healing switch,” causing stem cells to migrate toward injured tissues. These cells then supported recovery in organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. Stem cells are the body’s natural builders — capable of transforming into new, healthy tissue — and activating them without drugs or surgery could become a major medical breakthrough.

Why does this matter for wellness? Modern science has long sought ways to safely mobilize stem cells for healing. If acupuncture can do this naturally, it may offer new treatment pathways for chronic disease, injury recovery, inflammation, and organ repair.

Ancient medicine meeting modern biology might be one of the most powerful combinations yet. What else could the body heal when given the right signal?

We’ve had a few people ask, so just to clarify 😊
We’ll be open tomorrow during regular business hours.
The freeze ❄ isn’t expected until late tomorrow (Saturday) night, so no changes on our end. Stay warm!

Thank you for this review, Kathy!

"I was having issues with my IT band and heard that acupuncture helps with not only pain management but also the whole well being of your body. I have gone through a few sessions along with cupping and I will say what a difference!!! By my 4th session I could see my leg having more mobility. Coleman is very knowledgeable and knows exactly how to help his patients. He is intentional and listens which makes the whole experience effective. The staff that help Coleman and Dr.Lew are so welcoming they know you by name!!! Always helpful and friendly. This wellness center deserves 10/10!!! Thank you for all that you do for your patients."
