Movement snacks…an amazing practice I learned from that you can also apply to other aspects of your life.

“Hey Siri, set a timer for 5 minutes.”

I often ask Siri to set the clock for different time frames. 45 seconds, 60 seconds, 90 seconds, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 45 minutes, 90 minutes.

This allows me to use this time to work on something with Intention.

This is a great tool that I’ve found to be very useful for a lot of things I’m doing.

Find a movement practice you love and have fun with it…Stay strong Familia!

Coach Jon often tells us that you have to be a different type of psycho to keep coming back.

If you are a jiujitsu practitioner, you are probably smiling because you know this to be true. It’s fun but definitely not for everybody.

There are ups and downs to everyone’s personal journey on the mats but jiujitsu is continuous “stress” in a controlled setting.

Proverbs 27:17 says “As Iron Sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another.” The mats and your training partners shape you into the person you need to become.

The mental and physical fortitude comes with time but it’s the environment and people you surround yourself with that help you learn through these difficult times.

When you put yourself in these stressful situations in a controlled setting, it becomes easier to handle the stress in an uncontrolled setting (COVID).

You are constantly problem solving in jiujitsu. You have no choice but to figure out this complex puzzle presented to you. It’s like a constant evolving equation that never stops.

How do You handle stress? How are you reacting to these situations presented to you?

Does it often overcome you and cause fear, or can you navigate through it efficiently and effectively?

Who do you have around you? Are they helping you navigate through these stressful times, or are they part of the problem?

Are you letting your social media platforms cause fear or are you able to filter what you need for growth?

Let’s examine these things as we navigate through 2020...
