Here are some ideas for spring cleaning your mental health.
1 - Declutter your thoughts: Use a brain dump list to get worries on paper. I did this one year and it really helped. List everything that you need to do. Then you can categorize it by priorities based on time like today, this week, someday soon, next month, etc.
2 - Start a digital detox: Limit screen time and watch less television. Start small if you need to - like not looking at your phone for an hour or two after you awaken.
3 - Nurture new growth: Revive old hobbies, set intentional goals, and prioritize rest and nature to recharge.
4 - Establish a gratitude ritual: Start a daily practice of identifying things you are thankful for. Mindfully practicing gratitude has been shown to shift your thought process and elevate your mood. I am grateful for even the “small” things (like being able to flush a toilet or get warm water out of the tap). Such a little thing that we take for granted-but boy am I grateful to have them!

Maintaining adult friendships requires a shift from convenience to intentionality as life responsibilities increase. Sustaining these connections means actively carving out time through consistent rituals and small, meaningful gestures. If you are feeling disconnected from a friend-reach out to them and extend them and yourself some grace. Every time I have done this I am always so glad I did-be vulnerable with the people you care about. They are worth it!

This is one of my favorite recipes: roasted vegetables. You can use the suggestions from the recipe or substitute your choices. It takes a little time to chop the vegetables but you can also use a medley of frozen veggies. Then you can say that you are taking care of your loved ones and yourself. Have the vegetables as a side or add them to omelettes, scrambled eggs or frozen pizza. My secret? Fajita seasoning-it’s a game changer. Delicious!
