Maintaining adult friendships requires a shift from convenience to intentionality as life responsibilities increase. Sustaining these connections means actively carving out time through consistent rituals and small, meaningful gestures. If you are feeling disconnected from a friend-reach out to them and extend them and yourself some grace. Every time I have done this I am always so glad I did-be vulnerable with the people you care about. They are worth it!

Pita decided to visit her new neighbors and brought joy to them and their dogs. Now she regularly drops in for play dates and even has her own doorbell. This is one of my favorite recipes: roasted vegetables. You can use the suggestions from the recipe or substitute your choices. It takes a little time to chop the vegetables but you can also use a medley of frozen veggies. Then you can say that you are taking care of your loved ones and yourself. Have the vegetables as a side or add them to omelettes, scrambled eggs or frozen pizza. My secret? Fajita seasoning-it’s a game changer. Delicious!

Love music? I know I do. Music is stimulating to the mind and can change your emotions quickly (think about that nostalgic feeling you get when you hear THAT song from high school). Attend this free BAROQUE CONCERT this Sunday, January 11th from 4 to 5:15 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church featuring the Olmos Ensemble. They will perform works by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach and Vivaldi. A Baroque concert features classical music from the Baroque period (c. 1600-1750). (Hopefully none of you feel nostalgic! That is, of course, unless you have performed in an orchestra).
