Deep tissue myofascial "FasciAshi" Barefoot Massage & Structural Integration from the FEET of Jeni Spring, an award winning Licensed Massage Therapist since 2001. Relaxation is not exactly my focus, BUT the good news is that chemically, deep down to the cells of your body, a sense of relaxation happens with every ‘Deeper than Deep’ fascial therapy session that I do, even when it gets down to that “hurts so good” level of pressure! To achieve a sense of mental relaxation and escape, that is a little trickier, and up to you. Just like how outdoor yoga is about BEING IN THE MOMENT and breathing through the distractions to find peace and focus, I encourage you to take notice of your body’s inner sensations during your sessions. I’ll provide the space, and I’ll do the hard work to focus on treating your soft tissue injuries,, so that YOU can enhance your own internal body awareness and heal through a mindful meditation on the internal sensations of this massage. The sessions that I provide are Myofascial Barefoot Massage sessions set on the massage table or on a floor mat that incorporate Stretch Therapy, and soon, also Structural Integration. My goal is to give you a sense of effortlessness in your movements, better awareness of how you feel inside your body, and to rehab your strains and pains into something self-manageable. How is that possible?! Barefoot Massage offers slow moving, broad pressured, myofascial and stretch therapy techniques. My skilled feet can get just as detailed as hands, (Spoiler alert: I may still have to do some specific Structural Integration techniques with my hands ::GASP!:: But the sessions are usually 99% from my feet.) My body weight and gravity allow me to maintain consistent pressure at the depth your body “kneads.”

Your nervous system reacts to this big-footed pressure the same as if it were a weighted blanket. Your muscles won’t need to clench from the pokey pain of elbows and fingers – it can melt under the rounded surfaces of our warm, clean, smooth feet. The active movements that I guide you thru during the stretch therapy sessions will help to recalibrate the GPS of your body’s perception of pain, and the deepen the brain-body connections that neuromuscularly inform the quality of your movement. There is a lot of science in this work. Speed up your recovery time and resolve chronic pain in a session with Jeni Spring, LMT at Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage!

Here’s your radical reminder:
You don’t have to be in crisis to care for your body.

We live in a culture built on urgency—where burnout is normalized, rest feels indulgent, and exhaustion gets mistaken for dedication. Many of us were taught that stillness has to be justified.

✨ It’s me, hi! I’m the problem, it’s me. ✨

I just spent a week in Palm Springs doing an early Thanksgiving thing with my hubs, mom, and grandma. I had a great time and I realized that I'm kind of a small business tweaker, tweaked out on my work life. On the days we didn’t have anything planned, I felt anxious and weird. I’d wake up before everyone, pounding out computer work before breakfast. We did a great job of not watching TV, but at night I kept feeling like I needed to scroll my phone... just to make sure nothing was blowing up with my businesses.

Newsflash: they were fine. I just couldn’t relax my brain.

Massage time is a great place for both you and me to find a different rhythm—one that makes space for recovery before collapse. But honestly? We can all be working on that outside the massage room, too. I thought I was doing pretty okay... but nope.

In a world running on overdrive, reaction, and chronic stress, rest isn’t withdrawal—it’s how we recover.

I've got openings this month and next, and mixed in there I’ve also got a few more days blocked off to give myself time—whether that means catching up or just catching my breath, and keep those vacay vibes vibing! If you normally get more than one session with me per month, I’m asking everyone to stick to one per month for November and December so there’s room for everyone to get underfoot before the holidays.

Y'all are awesome! Thanks, and I hope you can make time for nothing, too!

This was the most expensive event I put Heeling Sole into with the biggest hopes and levels of excitement. We planned to have a fun day working on athletes in our doublewide booth as the main massage option at a regional CrossFit competition: we were so well set up, staffing was timed perfectly, the whole Sasquatch crew was ready to rock ...and it flopped.

The event was inside except for the running sections, and we were outside. The competitors and their fans mostly stayed in there to stay cool and watch other rounds. It was DEAD outside in the vending area. Even the big name PT's in town who had booths there left their tents empty and unmanned... But we stayed onsite and massaged eachother.

I was so angry about this. I dropped a good chunk of money on the spot and sponsorship, their tshirts and our own, paid my crew for standing there doing nothing. It's stuff like this that really makes me analyze the organization of events - I thought I was careful and thorough in researching this event, but apparently not enough. I've been an event coordinator for large conventions and farmers markets, and I know that the vendors can't be in competition for attention with the event itself, it's got to be a part of the event organically, with every part pointing attention towards another. This was not.

This has been your moment of un-zen: shedding light on the BS that went on behind the scenes of a business that was otherwise painting rosey pictures on social media because that is what is expected... (Booo, hisss)

We're not only standing on his shirt, we're ON the shirt!

Find the Heeling Sole logo on everyone's Lats/Teres-ish area of the Power Output Challenge tshirts, then find our booth between the entrance to the gym amd the bouncy house!

THIS IS NOT JUST A NORMAL FANCY FROU FROU PRETTY MASSAGE. We're advanced trained deep tissue sports massage therapists and our mobility specialists are trained in Yoga Tune-Up and MobilityWod.
Think of our bodywork like aggressive myofascial release, deep tissue compression with passive stretching and active/resistive range of motion to restore your brain, body and bones between the competition rounds.
Come get some. $20/15 minutes: plus you'll get a coupon for $20 to use towards a session in our office, and be entered to win a full set of mobility balls for your at home self care!!

When the vibe around us feels tight and tense, we physically feel that too, and our connective tissue follows that lead, binding us down from the inside out.

Fascia, AKA our connective tissue, serves as part of the body’s communication network, wrapping every muscle, bone, and organ in one continuous web. When it gets restricted—from stress, fear, or too much stillness—everything feels bound up. But we can get that fascia moving again, there is hope! It responds to rhythm, breath, and mindful pressure.

Whenever you are underfoot here at Heeling Sole, I'm trying help your fascia remember how to glide again. Through barefoot massage rooted in Structural Integration principles, we melt through layers of tension, calm the nervous system, and make space for movement—inside and out.

It's been a LONG week, y'all, full of so much computer work, deep thoughts poured out into writing new manuals for my other company, , and you know, just the "new normal" usual unprecedented drama and chaos of the world in general... BUT, I just gave two of the best massages today, and they reminded me of all the good things I can help offer my local community!

Y'all snapped me out of my funk and back into the best moments of any week: the moments when I'm ankle-deep in your muscles.

If you were underfoot today, thanks for coming in and making this Friday amazing. Have a great weekend!

Pain is your brain’s way of saying “Something feels unsafe.”

That might be because of tissue damage—but it could also be from stress, memory, fear, or fatigue.

Your nervous system turns the volume up when it doesn’t feel supported… and dials it down when you feel safe, seen, and heard.

Barefoot Massage sends your nervous system safety signals.

The broad, grounded pressure from the feet helps reduce threat perception in the brain, teaching your body it’s okay to let go.

This is why Jeni's barefoot massage isn’t about “digging deep”—it’s about building safety in your body, one slow, supportive step at a time.

10 years ago I won a week-long cruise from and one of the stops was St Kitts. While on the cruise, we were taking massage classes from the or just enjoying staring out at the ocean. But when we made it to St Kitts, a full rainbow was over the island, monkeys sat on my shoulder in the port, and we found a less busy beach lined with rum shacks and a great jerk chicken place right.

It was awesome, and the massages from my friend during this trip were WAY better than the typical massage you'd get on a cruise. Protip: get a body scrub or something and save the massage for when you get back to me... Not cuz I get jealous (cuz I don't care) but more because whatever massage you find on a cruise is likely not going to be as good as a Barefoot Massage 😉👣
