Here’s your radical reminder:
You don’t have to be in crisis to care for your body.
We live in a culture built on urgency—where burnout is normalized, rest feels indulgent, and exhaustion gets mistaken for dedication. Many of us were taught that stillness has to be justified.
✨ It’s me, hi! I’m the problem, it’s me. ✨
I just spent a week in Palm Springs doing an early Thanksgiving thing with my hubs, mom, and grandma. I had a great time and I realized that I'm kind of a small business tweaker, tweaked out on my work life. On the days we didn’t have anything planned, I felt anxious and weird. I’d wake up before everyone, pounding out computer work before breakfast. We did a great job of not watching TV, but at night I kept feeling like I needed to scroll my phone... just to make sure nothing was blowing up with my businesses.
Newsflash: they were fine. I just couldn’t relax my brain.
Massage time is a great place for both you and me to find a different rhythm—one that makes space for recovery before collapse. But honestly? We can all be working on that outside the massage room, too. I thought I was doing pretty okay... but nope.
In a world running on overdrive, reaction, and chronic stress, rest isn’t withdrawal—it’s how we recover.
I've got openings this month and next, and mixed in there I’ve also got a few more days blocked off to give myself time—whether that means catching up or just catching my breath, and keep those vacay vibes vibing! If you normally get more than one session with me per month, I’m asking everyone to stick to one per month for November and December so there’s room for everyone to get underfoot before the holidays.
Y'all are awesome! Thanks, and I hope you can make time for nothing, too!
